What's helped for me is logging those large portions of unhealthy food I like and realizing how I put all this weight back on. Drinking more water, logging as accurately as possible, adding a little bit of exercise goes such a long way!

I actually look at Pinterest before & afters, and read weight loss stories there for motivation! It's been very helpful for me!

How many extra calories does it give you at 13k steps? I'm almost there and it's given me 1400. Seems like a lot. Of course I won't be eating them back.

I have completely eliminated McDonald's and dark soda! 2 things I would normally have twice a day. It's been over a year for both! Yaaaay!

Charge HR. Just after midnight while I was laying down it gave me 146 steps and this morning it gave me another 120 or so within 3 minutes of me checking it. I went into the app and switched it to dominant even though it's on my non dominant wrist. I read that this may help. We'll see!

I bought s Fitbit last night and it's been adding steps I haven't taken! I read that it's normal but I'm not sure I'm ok with that....

Right now my iPhone is my step counter which I really only wear at the gym. I had it synced with mfp but after a couple of days it stopped counting for some reason. I'm going to get a Fitbit!

So if my step counter is only around 5,000 on average, should I set my activity level to sedentary and only count calories burned after 5,000 steps?

I'm pretty much depriving myself of fried fast food for a while. Of course I can "fit it in" but I didn't join this site to find ways to continue eating it on a regular basis. I'd like to make healthier choices MOST days.
