@jbmom91 you are keeping your ovaries so at least your hormones will still function. I have at least 60 pounds to lose as well. I find that controlling my food is better than doing nothing at all, so don't quit, stay on track and get walking as soon as you can, short walks at first and gradually increase. I'm up to 3 miles…

I've gained 10 pounds as well and definitely wanting to get back to working out. I'm now 2 months post surgery and I'm walking, but it doesn't seem like enough.

Did you have to go on HRT after @acarder24? Also did you issues with weight gain post surgery?

My doc said that I don't need HRT and I don't need it at this point. He said we don't need to worry about bone loss for a while as long as I keep active and exercise. But I don't want to take meds if I don't have to and I know it's hard to find the right dose. It took me years to find the right BC that didn't make me sick…

No hormone replacement, and unable to fully exercise right now

I'm 35 and had my Hysterectomy 7 weeks ago, I had everything removed including Cervix and Ovaries. It's my 3rd abdominal surgery in 3 years. The doctor said I can walk and lift light weights, so I've been doing that. But I likely need to work on my eating a lot as well. Hoping to stay committed to this!
