I started doing it after I heard about this study. It rings true for me. I can't say it will work for everyone. http://www.advisory.com/daily-briefing/2013/08/07/study-why-breakfast-not-dinner-should-be-your-biggest-meal But the study did say that eating a big dinner helps retain more muscle. I dunno, I think eating a big…

I don't really have any answers. I guess I'll say, when you start to cut back a lot from what you're eating it takes like a month to truly get over the hunger pangs. At least it did for me. But once you get used to it, then you stop getting so hungry all the time. Also if you haven't heard, always make breakfast your…

I appreciate it regardless. My view of it was I wanted to get used to going to the gym at least 4 times a week, and I didn't want to overwhelm myself too much by learning all the machines so I mostly hugged the cardio. But I think that yes, at this point I gotta be switching to a more overall workout session and…

I'll have to figure this out. Good point. Yeah I'm going to focus maybe on a shorter cardio session and then start working the other parts of the gym more and doing more strength training. I'm not too eager to lose it all at once - I do realize that permanent weight loss is a long game, not a short one.

I'm probably losing too much weight a month (10 lbs a month so far) I feel like I'm eating enough but I think I am over-exercising. I did so much cardio that it just melts away everything. I want to do this in a sustainable way but I'm just so focused that I think I might be over-doing it.

That's fine if a bit opinionated to think that but years ago on the BBC there was a cooking show called "Two Fat Ladies" - was that offensive too? I didn't think so, because they were both in on the joke.

I think moderation is better to start, and then you would be best to slowly start changing your diet from processed foods to more natural, health foods. Slowly as in, over the course no less than a year. I think a lot of people fail in their diet changes because they try to do everything at once. At least, that's how I…

I picked this user name A) because I thought it was funny and B) I want to lose enough weight so that it becomes ironic rather than insulting.

I scaled down to 1400 because I figured like everyone I was going to under-estimate my calorie intake by at least 200. I think with a scale I'll try for exactly 1700. I have to lose at least 20 more lbs by April, doctor's orders. If I can do that I'll be satisfied.

Alright. Thanks for the help.

My goal on here is 1600 so 200 calories off that isn't really too outrageous I didn't think. I'm not very active at all besides the exercise I have been doing.

I'm going to have to get a scale, which is going to be a huge pain in the *kitten* but I guess it's what I have to do. It seems like I am barely eating (a sandwich, a sweet potato and a cup of yogurt) but I guess I must be under-estimating what I am eating even still. No other explanation really makes sense.

I'm not doing that but isn't the nutritional facts on things pretty accurate?

Sarcasm is passive aggressive. Repressed hostility. But I'm being sarcastic right now.
