I have no idea what TDEE means, could you elaborate? I agree with you about listening to my food cravings, i never really thought about it that much. When i went to the doctors and showed them myfitnesspal they only looked at that current day and never really spent the time to look at any history so I am sure they never…

calcium, = i take a wodpack every day as a vitamin suppliment. the protein amount for me is insane, its hard to eat that much in a day to be honest. I have tried and only got up to 125g 1 day, i was soo full i was about to explode and i exceeded my calorie intake when i did that. My goal weight is 220, so its 140.8g of…

Actually I did cook this weekend but I work far away so by the time i go to and come back from work i have enough time to eat and sleep. My wife is good enough to have dinner ready for me which is extremely nice of her. the reason for the recipes is if she followed them then i could manually put the items into myfitnesspal…

You got a good point about cheese being high sodium and causing the weight gain by retaining water, i never thought about that, but doesn't that kind of say, if cheese is high in sodium, maybe it isn't the best for a diet since it makes you retain water? I am eating a lot healthier than I was previously. I would never eat…

Can you tell me if its worked for you so far? how much have you lost and in what period of time? I havent had a chance to read it but results say a lot as well.
-
Will do and thanks!
-
There is no proof it was water retention either. This is the diet that is working for me so why change it if it is working? As long as I feel good, my energy level is high, and my blood work comes back good, i see nothing wrong with what I am doing.

i believe it was 2 lbs. i dont have a specific date, i just remember it happening.

I did get a food scale but my wife refuses to use it. I ask her how much she adds to the meal and the answer is never accurate so i use my best guess possible. It is highly likely that the calories that are being shown on myfitnesspal could be less than accurate. But I definitely agree with you. Thanks for your suggestions…

Then why did i gain weight when the only difference in my diet was cheese?
-
There are proven results with someone that has a bmi as high as mine with people going lower in calories per day because the danger of the weight far outweighs a low calorie diet. Again, this is not my goal, but as long as I feel good and have energy, I do not find a problem with it. I get my blood taken regularly and as…

Too bad myfitnesspal doesn't give you a graph for your calorie intake like it does for other measurements. I hadn't noticed that but I feel great.
-
I explained why i choose to have no cheese, its because it causes me to gain weight pretty quickly.
-
Its not like i am not eating, I am. I am just choosing high nutrient, low calorie options. Shouldn't my body tell me if i am depriving something? I am making healthy choices in what i am eating.
-
if you look at my history, i only have had the appetite issue for the last few days which has lead to some very low calorie days. Most of the time i am around 1200-1700 calories per day. most of this has be contributed to me working on the house and either having a very quick small meal or just skipped a meal, such as…

I am but i have primarily ate chicken, salmon and tuna as my staples, now i am trying to add some recipes so they taste better and maybe introduce some more staples that will meet the same criteria. The reason i am trying to limit my cheese intake is because i have been monitoring my weight loss pretty religiously for a…

Hmm, i dont believe any diet can be an "all you can eat" which is what they are suggesting... You still want to reduce your calorie intake per day as well. I could be wrong though but enough proof is out there suggesting that if you have the deficit in calories you will lose the weight. The protein helps with helping me…

didnt know it had a name, thanks i will look right now :)
-
I was just looking at it and it looks similar to nutrisystem. The big disadvantage i found with that was the salt intake and the carbs ingested. I am trying to go towards more recipes then pre-packaged foods now. This is why i was asking about cookbooks.
-
Thanks :)
-
I understand :) thanks for looking. I know the past few days have been low, but i have not been that hungry.
-
thanks, i have looked into adkins but there are some things that are simply unhealthy that they suggest, cheese, lard, butter, ect... isnt very healthy for you. So i am trying to do an alternative to the adkins diet as specified above. similiar principle though.

im doing low carb, not no carbs, probably under 100g per day is what my target is but it may be closer to 100-200. that way i dont experience the issue you are stating, atleast i hope not
-
when i do low carb, i see high fat or high calorie recipes, which is why i was asking.

In addition, oolong tastes a lot better as iced tea
