So I fell off the wagon last night, The wagon then ran me over. Then the wagon dragged me up and down the street for most of the evening. Ah well today is a new day. Onwards and upwards :)

Happy Wednesday! I can't believe its Wednesday already were do the days go! 3 x AF so far and today WILL be 4! England play Denmark in the Euro's Semi-Final tonight! we have NEVER made it to a Euro's final before (we haven't made it to any final in my life time, and I'm not Spring Chicken LOL) so I have all of my fingers…

We all cave from time to time LL3K what inspires me about you guys is you consistently pick yourselves back, dust yourself down and go again! The month is still young lots of days for AF yet :) Plus it was only two glasses, I'd have finish the bottle, opened another and then poured a nice whisky.... :D

Thanks for all the nice comments on the Gotland photos we had a blast. 2 Days AF for July now.
-
Congrats on all your progress so far and fishing stories of course 👍 We took a last minute trip to the Baltic Island of Gotland this weekend to stay with friends. We all had a blast bit it didn't to my AF tally much good. However, back on the wagon yesterday so 1 day AF so far.

Who'd a thought it. Stockholm Andy makes it to a second month despite previous form :D :D :D Last month I made 17 days. This month I'd like to aim for over 20. I'd also like to curb my tendency to Pringle drink. Once I've popped I just can't stop! I read a lot of your posts where on the days you choose to drink you stop…

17 Days AF for me in June which I'm pretty chuffed about considering I have a 10 day vacation in there :D I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of you posting here for your inspiration, shared challenges and most of all kind words. This is has to be one of the most inclusive threads/communities on MFP. No one…

@mainelylisa amazing picture. I love running by the water.

16 Days AF for June. 2 big matches for me tonight Sweden (my adopted country) vs Ukraine and England vs Germany. :# However, I won't be using them as an excuse to have a celebratory/consolation drink :D I've realised reading a lot of your posts that quitting/cutting down on something can make you quite introspective. This…

@Lilylady3k , @ahoy_m8 and @globalhiker - Thank you but I can't take any credit for the table setting that was all my wife. No drinks at all on Saturday or Sunday so I think that brings me up to 15 days AF for this month. I'm actually starting to look forwards to beating that for next month! Thanks for sharing everyone…

Glad Midsommar everyone. Its been the summer solstice holiday this weekend in Sweden. I pleased to say I've had only a couple of drinks which isn't bad going as this is a notoriously booze filled weekend in Sweden. We had drinks with lunch on Friday (beer and snaps (aquavit)) which is traditional with a mid-summer table…

Wow! Looks like you guys had a great vacation!
-
13 Days AF for me now. Not to bad considering we had a family vacation in there. My wife and I are planning to drink on Friday as it is Swedish Midsummer, which is a very big holiday here, probably equivalent to Thanks Giving in the US. It will be a quite one but you need an Aquavit or two to digest all that pickled…

Well done on hitting your target with 6 days to spare Dawn! Still time for your stretch goal too!

Well I'm back from my vacation in sunny Mallorca and the three of us had a great time. I didn't drink on Monday or Yesterday so I'm not 11 days AF so far this month. It's the European Championships (football/soccer) going on right now and I realised that last night was the first time I'd watched England play and…

Thank you to everyone welcoming me back and giving holiday tips :) I love how warm, welcoming and supportive these threads are. Another AF free night last night. No real dramas or cravings, except maybe for the first few minutes after I got back from work. Soon passed though. That said I did really notice just how much…

@Lilylady3k and @MissMay Thanks for the words of support. I find reading these threads, all of the posters successes (and setbacks), gives me inspiration, motivation and an understanding that others are also having a lot of the same issues. Yesterday was AF too. It actually felt kind of easy for once. Not that it will last…

Well I think that the last time I posted was early February and I have to say that I haven't really done very well between then and now. I had one AF day between then and May 30th. Plus most of the others were not one or two drink days.... However, since then I had one drink since May 31st. That was Friday the 4th of June…

I'm going to finish strong...

I can't believe it's Thursday already! AF 7 days for February. My wife actually went AF last night too. I have no idea when she did that the last time but I'm really glad she did. I also really hope she has a few more AF days. I know enough not to push it, as that won't go well, but I'll try and support and encourage her…

7 Days AF for February Have a fun and relaxing weekend and then back to AF yesterday. Lovely weather over the weekend and my wife and I went out walking in the snow both days. While we were out on Sunday we saw a man out running with a tiny horse and a guy out walking in just shorts and gloves.... Just you're average day…

That's kinda funny in retrospect. Pity about the beer but the Haddock sounds great. I've got to ask though. What's a Needem Martini?
-
6 days AF for February All 4 days of planned abstinence under my belt this week. I will have a drink tonight and I'm looking forwards to it, in a healthy way I think, as it feels like a treat not just a habit. (Get me 3 weeks in and 4 days in a row AF :D ) I think I will add another little goal for myself of staying under…

I am on a 2 hour zoom meeting with a Finnish lawyer and an American lawyer discussing a 29 page licence agreement. We are on page 17 and they've just agreed they need another 2 hour call. They are mostly arguing about hypothetical disagreements.... If I stay AF tonight I'll make myself a badge :D :D :D

I love how almost every American person I've met had this great picture of their background/heritage. It's not something you really see in Europe. I'm sure my daughter will see herself as half British but I'd expect my grandchildren to just see themselves as Swedes. I did one of those DNA tests a while ago hoping to find…
-
Thank you @MissMay yes I've lived here for about 15 years. My wife is Swedish and my daughter was born here but I'm an ex-pat Brit. Well actually I'm also a Swedish citizen since last year as I wasn't sure what Brexit might bring for my residence status. Why do you ask? Are you in need of a good meatball recipe :)

@Lilylady3k I was in a similar position last night when my wife opened a bottle of wine. She even got out a glass for me and asked if I wanted to taste, as it was one we haven't tried before. I declined. But for the rest of the night I had a little nagging demon in my head thinking about a drink. Even more so when she…

Thanks Trish, I'm completely onboard with one day at a time this time around. I'm not trying to go dry but I am aiming for more days AF than drinking. Well done on the weight loss BTW!
