Ok so what's my plan for March. To do better than February. (Thank you to everyone who "regraded" me on last months performance but I feel I could have done better. That said I didn't drink everyday so that's a bonus.) Maybe I can get single digits? I have a big reunion on the 25th so I'm aiming to be good until then at…

@joans1976 You got this. March may be tough but you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. You'll be out the other side and into the bright sunshine of spring before you know it! I'm sorry for the loss of your friend its tough to lose someone that close to you.

So that's the shortest month of the year just about up. I hope you all feel like you met your goals or at least made some progress. I'm giving myself a D- for February. It wasn't a complete blow out and I have drank much less that I would in a normal month but I drank much more (often) than I planned to. As of last nigh 15…

I'll be 50 in a few months but we also had rotary phones and party lines as a kid. You've got me on the box brownies though :D The joys of film cameras. The struggle to "finish" the film off once you got back from vacation and taking random pictures. Or the excitement of picking the photo's up only to find all the pictures…

I just typed Happy Hump day we made it to Wednesday! Then I realised it's Thursday so even closer to the weekend!!! AF 12 A 10. Catching up on the thread I laughed out loud at the Pavlovian response from @Womona I'm certain I'm just the same :D

Hi forest you first need to push the little picture icon (1) see below:- Then you can either choose a file from your computer (circled) or paste in the url to the box. You can also copy and past the picture into this box. Hope this helps. AF 11 A10 I'm ahead! I've got 7 days to stay there and more importantly to increase…

Will wonders never cease I'm still around 2/3rd of the way through a second month :D AF 10 A10 It's taken me a long time to get 50-50 this month after slipping up while in the UK the other week. Anyway my wife is in Pittsburgh all week on business so no excuse to drink by myself. Hopefully I'll stay of the sauce all week…

She's called "Summer". Tail docking is completely banned here (as it ear cropping) so all dog breeds have full tails. Everyone thanks for all the kind words for Summer. I'd let her know but her ego is big enough already. :D @mfowler883 sorry to read about what your going through with Bentley, and more in general, I hope…

Thank you she is an English Cocker Spaniel. We just call them *kitten* Spaniels in the UK but here in Sweden we have both the American and English Cockers. The two breeds actually look quite different.

Seeing as we are sharing pet pictures. Here is my fearless companion out protecting me in the forest. AF 7 A 8 We're getting back on track at least. We'll be at 50:50 by the end of today.

@Michieb125 Welcome! The great things about this thread IMHO is that it just so inclusive and none judgemental. There are people who are super strict with their plans and planning and others who are much more laissez-faire. There are posters aiming for 1 night a week AF and people who are 99% T-total. Everyone is welcomed,…

Managed to pick up a couple of additional more AF days. 6AF 8A so I'm better than 50% just :/ Crazy busy with work but that never seems to change LOL
-
Ok so I've got well over a hundred posts to catch up on and things are crazy with work so I'll check in and go back later! I will say, though, thank you to those who were enquiring about me being AWOL. I was working in the UK all last week interviewing candidates and meeting customers with one of my reps. Things didn't…

2 out of 2 AF so far for February.

I completely agree with this Dawn :) Knowing that I'll have to post on here that I've slipped up or missed my (own) target often makes me think twice about it. For me the flip side is that when I do fall of the wagon I then slink off and stop posting. One of my goals this year is to stay here through thick and thin as I…

Hi Everyone, @MissMay Thank you as always for keeping these going. I'm Andy, a Brit exiled in Sweden, so I'll be your token European for the month of February :) My goal is to drink less for health and calorie reasons. I've been a daily drinker for probably 20 years with very few breaks. I have not interest give up…

27 AF and 1 A for January Had some drinks on Friday. Vodka Martini, glass of Red Wine and a couple of fingers of whisky. We had the place to ourselves as our daughter was at a sleepover. Lovely meal and a few tipples without over doing it was really nice. Back on the wagon on Saturday and today so happy all round. Feels…

26 days AF for January. We are planning to have a drink or two tonight. Good test for me to prove to myself I can take it easy AND get back on the wagon tomorrow.
-
24 days AF. Looking forwards to more of the same in Feb! A friend of mine from Canada posted a picture, on Facebook, last night of what looked like a Bloody Mary but what she labeled as a Caesar. I'd never heard of (or at least noticed) this drink, so when I asked she said it was like a BM but with Clam juice added…

The wonderful @MissMay starts a new thread each month! There have been a few recommendations for AF wine on these threads. I think even earlier this month. I've never found a good one here in Sweden unfortunately they've all tasted like grape juice IMHO.

Can I do a mankini? Borat style :D
-
23 days AF.
-
The Crown is really well made and worth the binge too IMHO. BTW you absolutely deserve the no chemo Pizza blow out :) Somethings just need to be celebrated.
-
21 Days AF for my wife and I! I think 3 weeks is a joint record since we've been together! I've done longer a couple of times and she definitely when she was pregnant with our daughter but its fun we have both stayed on the wagon. I'm glad a few of you like the Frenchie in skinny jeans :) No other motivation than to raise…

19 Days AF A quick public service announcement reminding middle aged men not to wear skinny jeans....

Don't beat yourself up GH. What's done is done. As you sat today is a brand new day and a fresh start. Sometime a bump in the road is the best way to remind you how smooth the journey has been going.

Still on track, still abstaining :) 18 Days AF
