Energy drinks for electrolytes? The standard American diet should keep you plenty of sodium without adding with an energy drink. Potassium is good in orange juice. Maybe a cup of coffee and some OJ for electrolytes and energy?

"All that grease in "X" food sends me immediately to the toilet". C'mon your digestive tract doesn't just squish out grease immediately!

Yea I'm glad you caught that. Since I just started last Thursday I'd have a struggle running even .75 imperial hours. Pardon the confusion there.

I lost 60 lbs and became a "runner" a few years ago. Don't listen to the shenanigans lately that running isn't good for weight loss. Do what you enjoy. Watch what you eat.

If it's legitimately swollen there's probably something wrong. I'm no doctor or anything though. I'd say if you have been walking a couple days perhaps extend that to walking, and walking faster for a couple weeks. Then maybe move on to a C25K program. If you hurt yourself running after a few minutes.... You probably need…

Start drinking regular americanos. They are awesome. But then again you can easily save the money and make a pot of regular coffee at home. I normally use Starbucks lately to acquire a newspaper, and black coffee.

Say what you want but for me personally exercise is the key to my weight loss. Maybe not 100% because of the calorie burn, but that exercise keeps me honest. It's a daily reminder to keep my diet on track. It also makes it a lot easier to keep at a calorie deficit for a longer term. If I stop exercising I start to gain…

I'm curious about this as well. Still has me on track from start weight 4-5 years ago.

Yea the oilfield isn't exactly what you see on TV! It can be physical. But for me it's really only physical when we rig up or down every 7-10 days or so. My amazing wife has been making me lunches, so I don't eat any gas station food any more. Other than maybe some beef jerky or a granola bar. As far as setting to…

I love mine for notifications, and to give a general idea of my activity level for the day. I use my forerunner for tracking my runs, so the distance calculated by the pedometer doesn't bother me at all. All pedometers will be having the same issues with pace / distance measurements.

What about water!?!? Sarcasm... Too early for sarcasm.

I've had them before. They did nothing. A guy I work with takes them all the time and claim he's all amped and energetic because of them. I say placebo. I don't normally fall victim to bullish..... Have a cup of coffee and pretend it was a caffeine pill. Same difference.

Read the first 5 posts and discovered one of two things. OP is a 1-troll. 2- person who needs to keep regular life in check with food habits / see a health care professional about obsessions / compulsions. Please don't bring your own ranch.

I work 2 weeks on 1 off in the oilfield. 17-18 hours per day. I basically throw planning out the window and try to maintain during the 2 weeks, and eat well / excercise during my week off. Working that many hours, it's impossible to stay really caught up on the fitness schedule.

A recumbent bike is the biggest waste of money I have ever encountered. I'll use it they say, it's not even like working out they say. So much so that it feels pointless, ineffective. I've burned more calories dusting the thing off than actually using it. Treadmill is a totally different story. Love that thing!

My wife and I have garmin vivofit. Good motivation and some decent other features. Alarm, notification vibrations via Bluetooth. The app has some to be desired, but I can use it with my forerunner 220 and have it all in 1.
