  • Go to steps on the mfp, it's under the more tab on the iphone. Make sure that fitbit is selected. This corrected my fault and no problems since. Hope this helps
  • Does your fitbit hr not give you your tdee for each day/week average? (Yes estimated I know, but isn't everything)?
  • Go to 'steps', on my iphone it is under the 'more' tab. Then make sure the fitbit is ticked. This worked for me four days ago, I found it on a forum here and I haven't had any problems since, prior to that it was going haywire. Hope this helps.
  • I use mfp on my iphone and iPad. Although the same account, my phone had me set to 980 whilst my iPad had me set to 1200! Something happened this week and now they both have a base of 1200. I eat between 2000 and 2500 by the way as I exercies daily and my tdee is between 3000 and 3500.
  • That's great if you can eat it. My fitbit adds between 1000 and1500 every day and no way can I eat that much. However I do try my best but usually end up with a few hundred to spare.. Just a thought, the syncing has been very glitchy for weeks now so double check your burns aren't being added twice just in case, this…

  • Hi. I just looked back on your log and it looks as if you have lost 10lb in about 4 days? If that's the case they may be worried about you so don't want to encourage you further?..
  • Hey for many years of dieting once I had a 'failure' day it was an excuse to give up altogether and get back to my old ways. Well this time it's different, one bad day won't ruin the days and days and days of being on track. One day at a time eh, just get back on track and move on. Think about next month, next six month or…
  • Wow, I hope my next 7lb loss looks as good as that! Keep doing what your doing and don't worry about the numbers.
  • I run 5k upto 5 times a week at the gym at 630am, getting up at 5.45am and don't have a thing beforehand. I once tried to eat and have a coffee before I left the house and felt nauseous. Getting up any earlier to eat earlier just doesn't fit in with me. I'd personally not eat beforehand and eat afterwards. Good luck.
  • However there's a glitch at the moment with fit bits and the like syncing properly with mfp.
  • I'm obese but fitter than I've ever been, even when I wasn't overweight. I run 5k 5 days a week, at a 630 am gym session followed by weights and other cardio (1.5 hours in total). In addition I do 3/4 class exercise sessions a week and walk whenever I can. My daily calorie burn averages 3200cals and I'm looking to lose…
  • Fix the problem Mfp. I'm sick of it now. I need to know how much I can eat but instead of adding 1200 extra calories for my gym work etc, it gives me 37!
  • Fitbit and mfp haven't been working together correctly all week. I just amassed an extra 600+ calories doing a long walk and twenty minutes later they have disappeared! Hope this gets fixed soon.
  • Hey me too. Just came on here to see if anyone else had the same problem. Negative yesterday and today so far even though for yesterday when I closed my diary I had around 1300 fitbit calories. Then this morning they had disappeared and it showed I am over yesterday's calories by 800+! Hope it's sorted soon. I NEED TO KNOW…
  • Hey stick with it. It's like anything, you just have to keep going with the program. I started this time last year and couldn't run for the minute! I'm slowly losing weight with 50+ lbs to go but manage a 5k run 5 days a week with all that extra weight. It means I can eat more and still lose weight as I love my food. I got…
  • Set your account to sedentary then you will start with a minimum base calorie goal for the day and then any extra calories will be added on depending on any exercise/steps from your fitbit.
  • Well done. But why deactivate? You may find that you need to tighten up on things later or might need to look back on your meal plans etc so could just leave it in the background for future use.
  • Hi it sounds like you have different goals set up on your mfp and fitbit app. Make sure the goals are the same I.e a 2 llb a week loss on both of them. From your figures it looks like you might have mfp set up for say 2lb a week loss and fitbit set up for 1lb a week loss
  • Hi. I enter my food on mfp and exercise on fitbit. It's adjust calories accordingly for the day.
  • Yes! I have a fitbit and I when I use the treadmill I activate an exercise for that period of time then on my app I put the exercise down as treadmill. It doesn't count the same steps twice but allows you to track your exercise more accurately. Today I did a 1.5 hour (sllloooooow) run outside and pressed the button on my…
  • Wow. I am so pleased for you. It's great that you have found all these extra benefits to losing weight. If I'm honest I think I started out to lose weight due to vanity, but soon found out its so much more about my health and fitness and how I feel and I feel I've achieved more by doing a great workout than by losing a…
  • 'Graduated' after week 5 when my app messed up and I kept running. For the last 3-4 weeks since, I run 5 or 6 k every other day and I really struggled with the first week of the program. I am amazed at how quickly my fitness improved. Keep going.
  • Hi. Firstly just to say, I won't be eating these back,,,,,,,,, BUT. According to map my fitness which syncs with MFP I burned 1857 cals today! I have walked more than 10 miles and did 30 day shred this morning. Obviously I know about overestimation etc and don't have a heart rate monitor but I didn't just make up these…
  • Well done. You look amazing. How long did it take you and how tall are you please?
  • Don't forget to update us with the results. I'm starting the program tomorrow and am sore from just thinking about it!
  • You will amaze yourself. I got to week 5 then had to have 3 weeks off. On my second run back my app messed up and I ran for 28 minutes. The one after that I ran the whole 5 k (37 minutes) and have done so every other day since (6 times). I ran 5.5 k the second time just to check it wasn't a fluke. Can't wait for tomorrow…
  • I already did Level 1 for 30 days and I didn't lose up to 20 lbs like it says but I did lose inches and 5 lbs...I'm also down a size in clothes. [/quote] I'm starting this next week. Poland_diana. I think your supposed to progress onto level 2 after 10 days and the whole program takes 30? Did you do the whole 30 days at…
  • For all those struggling, I started off, very unfit, no exercise prior and weighed 230lb, got to week 5/1 and had to have a 3 week break due to bad knee (bad shoes!). I got back on it and on my second run back 'Laura' from the app didn't talk to me (playing a podcast that cut her off!) and I carried on listening to music…
