All the best. One day at a time. Had a dry January which has turned to dry February and my mindset now is for it to be a dry 2017. Look at hello Sunday morning website. Take care

I love running (or jogging?). I run on the treadmill at the gym and do 2 x 5ks during the week and around 15 minutes on my lifting days, and then on Saturday I run outside for 4 miles and 5 miles on a Sunday. I'm not particularly fast but faster than anyone still in bed or on the sofa! I started c25k January last year and…

Worth it for me. I pay £19.99 at the local leisure centre and use the gym 5 times a week and do 3-4 classes a week every week so each visit costs me a little over 50pence. Well worth it for me. However I have a friend who paid £40 a month for a nicer gym that included spa, sauna etc and used it 10 times max for the year so…

I think fitbit gives you the amount of calories to eat that you have amassed upto the point when you check it whereas Mfp assumes the calories you will have by the end of the day.
-
Whhaaaaat? Give me 5lbs any day and I'll be happy. Infact If I lost 5 pounds in the month I would be buzzing. Maybe your expectations are too high?
-
Well done.
-
Add me too. My diary is always open. I'm interested I what other people eat so like to have a nosey around to see what's interesting.

Just sent you a friends request too.

Only one thing I can say. I'm blown away!

Yes, as posted above: https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1375583-a-message-about-myfitnesspal-s-updated-nutrition-goals The minimum for women is 1200 The minimum for men is 1500 1200 is the bottom of the projected weight threshold. These minimums are set on the apps. [/quote] That's incorrect. I'm…

Hi. Scooby decided I can eat 2514 calories a day to maintain. This is for 3-5 hours a week moderate exercise. MFP has suggested 1770 for me as active to lose 1.5lbs a week which is in line with scooby 2514-750=1764. So I am now setting my calories for 1770 a day and totally ignoring any extra calories given by my fitbit. I…

I'm up for using tdee for a month. Could anyone advise what activity to use in the calculator for my level of exercise as in lighft, moderate, active? It won't decrease but I might add in a new class now and again. Thanks.

I was just coming back to say that I have used the runners world calculator. I ran for 2 miles after stronglifts today for which my fitbit gave me 288 calories. According to the runners world info I would have burned 300 so pretty close I would say. As for the rest, thank you. I really appreciate you taking the time and…

Thanks for your reply. When I first started to lose weight early last year I wasn't as informed as I am now (thanks mfp forums). I felt fine eating at that amount but it is only now looking back, well, really since I started exercising mid July 2015 that I realised I was under nourished. My hair was falling out and I was…

Thank you I'm hoping I get a loss on the scale soon. The thing is, I'm going to continue regardless as I like being fit and healthy and there is no way I am going to risk putting weight on. I'm 44 years old with a 2 year old so want to be around for as long as possible. Hopefully the lifting will help lose some inches and…

Thank you so much for your words of wisdom so far. Just to clarify I am **200lbs** and so I do burn more calories than somebody who is not obese. I have checked many calculators which give me 450-500 cals for a 5k at my weight, plus I spend/ was spending up to 45 minutes after that doing cardio. Zumba, according to my…

Thanks for all your replies so far.

Maybe, but it can't be giving me double the calories? I stay under 2000 most days
-
Hi. I knew someone would pick up on that. However I have less than that but round it up to the nearest entry that I have previously added. I always overestimate not under. For instance if my chicken is 235g or 245 g I will log it as 250g thanks. No I haven't had any blood tests done. Although my fitbit says ~3000 I never…

No hormones etc or medication of any kind I sometimes do other classes such as Mma or yoga. But up until starting stronglifts I mainly did a mix of cardio with some core work etc Regarding my fitbit calories, it gives me less than what I use to use with map my fitness and mfp. For my weight etc the calories from running…

I have been to my gym 65 times in 64 days. 1.5 hours at the gym 6.30am Monday to Friday plus extra classes of Zumba, mma,Hiit some evenings and long walks or extra gym sessions at the weekend. Just started stronglifts so doing less cardio now so upset that I can't eat back as many exercise calories. I want to lose another…

I Got an error message on fitbit this morning and it's been crazy numbers ever since. I'm sure it's a glitch and once sorted and re synced should be ok.
-
Wow. You have mastered this weight loss thingy. Very inspiring and nice to see someone from the uk.
-
Hi. How long does each session take approximately including warm up?
-
Hi there. How did you find your first week? Are you totally new to lifting or had any prior experience?
-
Hi. I just accepted your friend request. Great start. Have you done the program previously?
