It really anoys me at home when someone tosses the container before I get a chance to scan the barcode. I end up searching and guessing.

Absolutely

Today I would lie to focus on going to bed earlier. I work nights and tend to stay up too long after I get home.

I love my fitbit even though it's not waterproof. Between MFP and fitbit I've had more motivation and success with my fitness and health goals.

Thanks I'm going to try that.

Thank you for this post. This happens to me more often than I care to admit. I go to the coffee shop at work telling myself I will only have a black coffee. By the time I get to the front of the line I have talked myself into the double chocolate peanutbutter cookie.

Mine was looking at vacation pictures of myself and my Grandkids. I bairly reconised myself. I had no idea I looked so bloated. I was so embarrassed I was going to delete the pictures. Instead of deleting them I keep them on my phone. Now when I'm feeling discouraged I look at the pictures and remember what it was like to…

I would even avoid looking at my body in the mirror. Would not step on the scale. Wore jeans that were obviously not the right size. My wakeup call was the pictures of myself with my Grandchildren on vacation. Ouch. I couldn't believe how horrible I looked. Whenever I'm feeling weak I look at the pictures on my phone.

Thank you for all the advice. I think you're correct in saying that everyone is different. I think I will try it before eating and see how it goes.

I love the Jilian Michaels workouts. They're always a challenge.

I'm at one if those tired and cranky stages right now. I almost bought a chocolate bar today. I didn't. Instead I grabbed my baggie of vegies and told myself to remember how awful I felt 20 lbs. ago. Still a little tired but I didn't cave in.

Don't be afraid of the scale. There's other ways to measure success. How you feel. Are you eating healthy? How are your clothes fitting. If you have the odd slip up don't stress just carry on.

I have the same batwing issue. I work nights and sometimes it is very quiet. I've started bringing resistance bands to work but am unsure of the best exercises to do. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I've been noticing that quite a few MFP members are aiming for weights that are unhealthy. Being too thin is not only unattractive it can be very dangerous. If you get ill there's nothing to fight it off with. Please focus on health as well as that number on the scale.

You are amazing and brave. Thank you for telling your story. It came to me at a perfect time. I have hit a bit of a difficult time on my weight loss journey. I have austeo arthritis in my back.,hips, knees and ankles. Lately the pain has been quite severe so I've been feeling a bit low. Tomorrow it's back to working out and…

Hi Zoe. I've been up and down the scales several times as well. I'm willing to stick to it with you. Feel free to add me and give me a kick when I need it.

My original goal was 50lbs. I've lost 18. Whenever I'm feeling really unmotivated I go grocery shopping and have a look at the lbs of butter. I imagine the stack of butter attached to my waist and butt. UGG. That's it for me. Then I head for the vegies.
-
I'm with you. Never give up. Each day is new and fresh .I decided it was time to get serious about this when I saw my vacation pictures. UGG! So let's do this!!!!!!
-
I've lost 18 lbs since mid August. My goal is 30 more by March 1st. Feel free to add me.

Wow. That video is great. It reinforces why I need to weigh and measure EVERYTHING.

Hello from Winnipeg.

I knew my weight had been slowly creeping up but I was avoiding the scale. My Grandkids were visiting in July and of course pictures happen. When I saw how huge I had become I was so embarrassed. I had vacation coming up a couple of weeks after their visit. I promised myself that right after vacation I would get serious…

Hi. I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm scheduled for surgery in march and needed to lose 50#. I've managed 16 so far. It's a difficult battle. I've lost and gained several times, each time gaining back more. This time I am totally committed to eat for my health.
-
Welcome. Best of luck on MFP. I've lost 16lb so far. I love this app. It's easy to keep track of calories as well as nutrition. The support I get from my friends makes my journey much easier more enjoyable.

Just feeling healthy and more fit is a reward in itself.
