  • Thanks so much. I will consider! Quick question though: macros for baked chicken breast per ounce? I have it at 9 G protein... Is that true?
  • Very thorough, thank you. I agree with everything except I know I cannot eat that little protein. It doesn't work for me for whatever reason. I feel sick and lethargic and my blood sugar falls... I may stick with the guidelines except for protein and start with this tomorrow: Fat 54G Carbs 219G Protein 135G Calories 1900
  • Thanks for the info! I have also read similar recommendations for macros. The thing is that I if I drop my protein. I feel sick and terrible, and end up bingeing at night. As for fat, I could drop it down to 0.4g/lb which is roughly 48G of fat. I have also heard that 30% of your caloric intake should be fat for muscle…
  • Oh ok, then I will see how I feel after a week and if I am feeling well enough then I will continue for about a month and see the physical changes! Thanks! I don't know for sure if this is a surplus, but I'm hoping it is a 200 calorie surplus for my needs. I'm starting to think I may need to increase to 2000 but I will…
  • I am eating a surplus i believe. I will test out these macros for one week and see if there is any shift. Thanks for the input!
  • Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking my protein was high, but I often hit that much. I think it would be wise to up my fats, so maybe I will drop protein to 130 and up fats a bit and add any leftover calories to carbs. Thanks everyone!
  • I always eat way over my suggested cholesterol intake. However, all of my cholesterol comes from clean sources of animal meat and eggs. I just had blood work done and I was told my cholesterol levels are above the optimal level...so eating cholesterol from healthy sources does not raise unhealthy cholesterol levels on your…
  • Aww thanks so much for that support. You are right, I have realized that abdominals do vary in their appearance. I do HIIT but mostly on the stair master on level 18 and it makes me sweat pretty hard. I hope to do sprints again outside on the track this summer.
  • I see your point. It makes sense and I am not saying my way is right and yours is wrong. What I meant was it is important to be mindful of if this is truly a healthy behaviour, or an obsession (weighing food). If it works, and it is keeping you healthy, then go for it! Just for some, it becomes more of an obsession and…
  • Don't force feed too much or you will feel sick. Think of ways to eat small amounts but still ingesting large calories (high dense food). Think adding olive oil, peanut butter, extra toast to meals, whole milk/higher fat dairy,... Weight gainers from supplement health food stores help too.

  • I can confirm I had the exact same abdominal distention, and it occurred eating only clean food. I then eliminated: dairy, nuts, gluten, wheat, eggs, and poultry. I researched the low FODMAP diet. Although very restrictive, most of the bloat is gone. I strongly suggest to get tested for food allergies. I am undergoing…
  • It is somewhat concerning to read of all the members who must meticulously weigh each item prior to eating it. I am aware that certain individuals are on very regimental diets and must account for every calorie, but these behaviours may become unhealthy habits and may prevent one from living a healthy and happy life. I…
  • I have tried less carbs, higher fat but I just get bloated and actually gain weight. I feel better right now except for the night hunger. But I get up at 5:15 in the morning so maybe a small snack with some fats (sardines or tuna and olive oil) before bed will help hold me over? And sorry my macros should read 55C, 25 P,…
