  • I sometimes do a serving of Arctic Zero blended with something more indulgent...it stretches it out for me.
  • I have a problem with chips in that once I start I cant stop...but I think portion control is the way to go (if that is something you can handle :persevere: ) The caloric difference between baked and fried is minimal so unless you are replacing it with something like veggies you are not going to get a drastically bigger…
  • The chili looks awesome--Ive seen a couple of different recipes for both butternut squash chili and pumpkin. They are on my "must try list" Also want to do a pumpkin alfredo sauce over zucchini noodles--yum!
  • I did--they look totally natural. I wanted to look like I did before I had two kids.
  • I like Yoplait Light n Fit Greek and the whips version too. They (and their horrible horrible chemicals) will have to be pried from my cold dead hands.
  • thank you for sharing! A great reminder that we can all overcome a setback in our logging or eating habits! So sorry for your loss
  • Definitely plan on trying these! Love pumpkin!
  • This exactly--Its about how you feel! Personally, I am not happy with being 5'1" and 120 pounds. Yeah, I carry it well and wear a size zero and sure I look smaller than someone 10 lbs less than me but its not about how I compare or what others think.
  • Are you kidding?! LA has to be one of the most any-kind-of-diet friendly places ever! Even with the paleo fad on its way out-- I still see restaurants advertise paleo friendly menus, substitutions, etc To start here are some "one step above fast food chains": Tender Greens Lemonade Pono Burger Mondo Taco Sweet Fin Poke…
  • Meee! I am there when they unlock the doors at 4:45 and I am hooked. I hate the mornings where I cant go to the gym before work (I sit all day) and I just feel lethargic at the end of the day without my morning workout.
  • Oh I did this for a long time--it takes so much willpower not to clean their plates for them. I really do hate throwing away food.
  • I think its the utter total exhaustion and frustration (usually with my exhusband, not the kids) that sometimes pushes me to the little kid snacks in the evening after they are in bed. They are things I wouldn't even buy if I didn't have kids. :disappointed: I DO try to make healthy dinner for all of us and usually cook…
  • I am joining. I eat the majority of calories after dinner and tend to blow through my goal  Me: 0 LNS:1 My goal is to quit mindlessly eating from dinner until bedtime.
  • Ive noticed this too! I work out at 5am and I used to eat almost immediately afterwards. Then I would be hungry for lunch earlier etc. The problem is I have always been a late night snacker (well, as late as someone who works out at 5 can stay up :P) and I would burn through my calories early in the day. I am not doing…
  • Here is what I do: 1) I wake up an hour before my kids do to work out. I am a morning person and I have prioritized this as an hour for me, not for making lunches or doing laundry or cleaning. 2) I meal prep for both myself and my kids meals. I make their dinners in advance so that is ready to go after we get home from…
  • I think celebrating the day of the holiday or even a few days isn't a big deal (including a few seasonal parties)...I like to enjoy. :) I think where people run into trouble is that the day or few days of celebration turn into a season of gluttony lasting from October to the end of December. I don't indulge in every…
  • Just picked this up last night :) Looks delicious but I am a mint lover...
  • I do it on the treadmill...because it is very easy to pick a speed and stick with it. I do a longer run on the speed I am totally comfortable with one day and then on my next run day I try to do a run of 10-15 minutes at an increase of .5. I bounce back and forth between these two runs and increase the time of the faster…
  • We have the exact same stats (but I am, ahem, a bit older and used to be an athlete). Guessing you are either a gymnast or a coxswain for a crew team. I am currently 5'1" and 118 and to lose I need to stick between 1000-1200. I don't only eat salads but there isn't a lot of latitude for those things that "eat up a lot of…
  • This sounds like me to a T--I seem to naturally gravitate to 118-122 whenever I try to go on maintenance. I feel I look my best at 110 but struggle to stay there.
  • I am 5'1" and currently 117. I struggle with maintenance and am back on the losing side. For clothes, I shop petites (mostly at AT or BR) and depending on the store wear either a 0P or a 2P...feel free to add me if you would like :)
  • I think the point the poster was trying to make is that we have become so accustomed to having to feel full or at least be satisfied that we don't even know what truly being hungry feels like...we eat because we are bored or for some other reason but not when we are truly hungry. I think taking a moment to pause and…
  • They are less appealing to me from a calorie counting standpoint now that they have increased. That and the price--I am sticking to making my own bars for a while.
  • I still have "abs" after two kids, though I do have a pretty ugly hernia above my belly button too. :( I think its genetically where you carry your weight that is more a factor...I still have a big ole booty and a lot of weight in my thighs.
  • So I don't usually have leftovers from myself but used to have a HUGE problem with cleaning my kids plates for them...those couple of bites of mac and cheese or whatever really added up :disappointed: but now I am at peace with dumping their half eaten food in the trash.
  • I live in LA so it stays more or less the same B) but seriously, I do feel crappy when it's cold (relative, I know) and when we switch our clocks back. It makes me want to hibernate and I am at work the ENTIRE time it is light out. I may shift my schedule even earlier (already a morning work out person) and go to bed a bit…
  • Fiber and then protein...I had fiber one with greek yogurt and fruit at lunch today and I feel stuffed still. I usually have a snack around now and don't even want it.
  • I am 5'1" but hit a bit of a plateau lately with some not so healthy splurges and a gym under construction :( Trying to get back on track though!
  • I have a rather similar build and wouldn't consider myself muscular but I get comments like this all the time. It makes me uncomfortable and upset...so I totally understand why you wouldn't take it as a compliment. I am actually only doing body weight exercises with the hopes that I will look less "muscle-y" FWIW, I think…
  • I put it in smoothies, make it into a sauce to put over frozen yogurt (mix it with chocolate syrup and a little water), for baking because it is essentially a flour. and in my pad thai. I also just mix it with water and dip carrots and apples into it...Im a PB2 junkie.
