My wife signed me up for her corporate 10K and 2 mile run taking place on 9/13. That's going to be interesting to say the least

Lacroix counts as water flavored with earwax, blech!

Question.... Anybody actually row "wholisticaly"? JK, but like with an actual rowboat and a body of water? I like doing as much as I can outdoors and have been casually looking out for a suitable craft for cheap for a long time now.

Got one to the back of the neck and my thumb a couple days ago. The thumb was all but gone before the end of the day but the one on my neck is still there since Tuesday. Spent my day off wondering how much my airway was going to close off and the rest of the week trying not to rest the bar on it! Take some non drowsy…

I could barely manage a brisk walk after my weight session yesterday. Was squat and deadlift day along with some other ancillary work thrown in for fun. My legs were jelly.

I like your attitude! I'm going to choose to be happy about only getting a very light sunburn from yesterday and not complain about the copious amounts of goose crap on the trail!

Would like both of those, luckily meat dosent have to sit to long so it's never wasted but some other items tend to go bad and I hate wasting them.

Thank you!

Thank you :D

I have gotten pretty good at the cuts, atleast for the sausage. The chicken varys a bit more and the last bag has lots of trimmings in it to balance things out. The tubular sausage is easy to cut to perfect portions though, I can just cut and stack them on the scale and watch the total go up by 2oz on average then bag the…

Now that it's all frozen I can stack them neatly without them fusing to each other. We tend to not keep a lot of food on hand so real estate is not an issue lol.

Alright, didn't do anything on the 1st since I had both squats and deads scheduled for today. I ran about ten fifteen minutes after finishing with the weights and did 2miles struggling the whole way. I also did a quarter mile to warm up before the weights on a mill. I'm setting my goal at 30 miles for the month without…

$30 a month at the local Golds. The usual mix of equipment. Decent free weight area but the machines take up most of the floor. They have a modest selection of odd object/strength training equipment and even a small dedicated area for that stuff. Classes are extra but I'm not concerned with them really, or with the…

Diet for weight loss/gain. exercise for strength, fitness and asthetics.

Treat the basic lifts as foundational exercises and incorporate activity specific training if you have specific performance goals. Lifts will build the strength needed but you will need to simply train jumping in a progressive fashion if jumping for height/distance is a goal. The exercises listed by dr2501 may help and…

My recomended squatting routine is to move to the Middle East where toilets as we know them don't exist and eat a high fiber diet. Guaranteed you'll get three or four very intense squats in per day.

Do you have any info that one can get fat in a calorie deficit? If not that proves they are wrong in atleast one regard.
-
Did you see that post trending on Facebook comparing a burger and soda to a side salad and water as examples of unhealthy vs healthy? That people look at that and think it makes sense is astounding to me.
-
What?!? Soooo practically no calories or nutritional input for lunch? I just had a Big Mac and a parfait. Perfectly filling lots of needed macros and it fits very comfortably in my Calorie budget. Admittedly my budget is possibly larger bus still, a side salad can't be considered a meal by any sane adult.

Oh, and you will never ever find a verifiable source that proves "organic" produce has better nutrition OR taste. Such proof dose not exist and every study points to there being no measurable difference. Stop spreading lies.
-
But "organic" farms use "organic" pesticides and fertilizers that are more toxic and less effective than current generation equivalents. You can't keep comparing them to products from thirty plus years ago. The rest of your list is simply practices, and has nothing to do with an products standing as organic or not.
-
Ok kid, I have seen these posts popping up a lot lately and I want you to explain exactly what makes you believe this stuff, what sources do you have confirming that of the countless tens of thousands doing SL any significant number have suffered injury. You seem to be spewing somewhat random and incoherent advice, first 5…

Did you not follow the conversation? We were talking about beginning lifters who can't even lift a 45lb bar. A 1" bar is perfectly acceptable well past the point the lifter may transition to a full sized 45lb bar. Nowhere did I ever suggest using a curl bar or 1" barbell to do 300+lb lifts as an accomplished lifter.

Nobody cares about her diet, we care about the lies she is spreading.

Then you have not decreased calories. Period, your body is not immune to the most basic laws of physics. If it were the government would be dissecting you to figure out how you generate energy and matter from nothing. Your story can not help anyone because you are spreading fiction, learn why you DID lose weight and spread…

Many organic labeled produce uses "organic" pesticides that are less effective and more toxic than modern options.

You can opt out of any exercise in a class. Don't let any sense of peer pressure coerce you into doing something that's not good for you. I'm on the side that crunches are either outdated and not the best or are down right dangerous. And so like others here I suggest that A: they can be worked better with other movements…

I started this current effort with almost nothing but diet. That was always my sticking point and I spent years trying to out exercise a gluttonous diet. In terms of weight loss I didn't notice it my self but others did. Eventually my clothese were noticeably looser, I went from 40-42 pants to 38. Then when shopping for…

First of all, lots of great advice from others on this post. It wouldn't hurt to consider any of these as you diagnose your issue. Now... Yes I think that ^ may be atleast part of your problem. Again it would be helpful if you post pics or a video of your form so we know what it looks like. It could be that opening your…

Your core is used in pretty much every single exercise you do, unless they are hindering progress in any other area why do you need to target it?
