There is a group of MFP called "100+ lbs to lose and no surgery" that you might find helpful and supportive. They are great people and many of them have had similar goals to you (and made great progress!) This isn't a race, so you could try eating the calories you are given and see if you are losing on track. If you are…

I can guarantee you are going to die...someday. About the big loss though...water weight. Totally normal.

I don't track regular housecleaning. Once when getting ready for an event I spent over 3 hours straight doing a deep clean that involved a good deal of physical labor and I tracked it as "1 hour of light housework" which I felt was fair.

Then they are stupid. No lesbian I know would make a good wife for someone she finds unappealing sexualy.

What is your height, weight gender and age? How many calories do you eat? What specific amount of exercise? Do you weigh/measure your food?

I owned one cat who wanted outside so badly we started going on walks. He would walk 2-3 blocks in a direction, meandering off sidewalk occasionally but mostly sticking to it. When he was done he would lay down and I would carry him home. We would get drivers stopping to ask me how I "trained" him to do it.

I also find it crucial to prepare log my food. I do it in the morning as I pack my lunch and plan to have a certain amount left to play with for dinner. I often look at the nutritional breakdown to make sure I'm good on the macros I care about. Often dinner is a meal constructed of remaining calories and foods that fill…

For tracking purposes just weigh in the morning after you go to the bathroom and before you eat. Either weigh nude or wear the same clothing each time. That is as close as you are going to get.

I bought 2 cases of sour watermelon peeps off of Amazon.com. heh. In my defense, I love them. They don't make them all year. And at 130 for a box they fit nicely into my dieting 1-2 times per week. I hid them so my friends can't judge me for my massive peep stash but my boyfriend knows and teases me.

Yeah, mine too...but I have gotten more strength in a lot of other places, particularly my upper body from swimming! Your have done a really amazing job. Very inspiring! Keep up the good work and get back to carefully measuring intake and you should see the losses. I stalled for a month followed by a great loss the…

At 300+ lbs when I began exercising after being intensely sedentary my weight loss stalled/slowed for about a month. I think it is a combo of muscle gains, storing glycogen and increased appetite. It isn't standard to gain muscle on a calorie deficit (some will say impossible) but it can happen when an obese person goes…

We have "food days" like this often. I honestly don't enjoy eating most of the crap people bring enough to waste calories on it. I bring my lunch and don't participate. Family gatherings I eat in moderation and track the best I can. I also am up front with friends and family about my diet and they respect that.

If this were true Fitbit, Tdee-calculator etc wouldn't have different daily calories for different levels of daily physical activity. Of course you burn more calories on a day you work a very active job. If you are set on sedentary the basic level of calories it gives you won't be accurate for these active days. Without an…

Knowing how your body stores water can be comforting when you see jumps on the scale. After month of low calorie moderate carb eating, I ate a half bag of Hawaiian rolls over an evening of drinking with friends and Bam! I was up "5 lbs" overnight. I was over my maintenance calories a bit, but I knew the majority of this…

I do once a month weight insurance too. My reward is chips and salsa at the mexican restaurant. Yeah, yeah, I know... food reward. However, I look at it as a celebration of my gained ability to moderate. I used to eat mexican food a couple times a week and mow down the chips. Now, a once a month treat of chips that I can't…

I was having some trouble with hunger. I swapped some snacks for two 12 oz servings of skim milk daily. Milk is really satiating to me. The combination of slow digesting and fast digesting protein with all the vitamins and calcium make it a great after work out drink. I was afraid to drink milk at first because of the…

Fiber one bars, Skinny Pop Popcorn meats and veggies, yes. My "favorite" is the "Better than bullion". Add it in a small amount to meals for So much flavor. Still high in sodium, but I don't care about that! I made a low calorie chicken breast with creamy caper sauce the other night that makes low calorie taste indulgent.…

Plus because he is a man he will get to eat more than you and he will probably lose faster. Yeah. It isn't fair is it? Makes me want to eat dirty.
-
Yeah, bothers me too but I just eat my 200 grams of cherries (or whatever) and ignore the MFP criticism of my sugar level. After all, I am not diabetic or living off candy.

If you enjoy the taste of these they may be a little better for you than potato chips. They are not fried, have a good amount of whole grains and while they are around the same calories as a serving of potato chips they are less dense so you may feel like you are "getting more" of the popped chips. If you don't enjoy them…

I have been eating healthy, under calories and exercising all week and am up 2 lbs overnight. I am in no way upset about it because it happens all the time. Your diet impacts your weight over time but you have normal daily fluxuations from water weight. In my case I am just before my time of month, but eating a few more…

I am not a "clean eater" and I think your chili Is fine. When I did a lot of research on clean eating I realized that what someone considers to qualify as "clean" is very subjective. I think a lot of the issue is the term "clean" implies other foods are unclean, and who wants to be told the perfectly acceptable food they…

Yeah, I have trouble with this too. Thankfully the lifeguard does kick people out of the lap lane when a lap swimmer shows, but kids constantly transgress, and the parents do nothing. I got hit in the head twice during my session last week by kids playing ball in the lap lane next to me. I begin to suspect they were aiming…

Perhaps try changing what you snack on. Throw out the biscuits if you are having trouble portion controlling them. Invest in some veggies that you like. If you feel peckish grab one of the bags of veggies. Tell yourself that other than your planned foods this is the only snack available to you. If you don't want them, you…

I love red meat and work it in whenever I can. Like any of my proteins I measure it and portion control. Red meat is one of the most nutritious foods out there. A 3.5 portion of ground beef with 10% fat has Vitamin B3 (Niacin): 25% of the RDA. Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin): 37% of the RDA (this vitamin is unattainable from plant…

I have PCOS and insulin resistance and I eat according to the guidelines in a mayo clinic book called "the insulin resistance diet". I do eat dairy lots...it doesn't seem to bother my weight loss. 12 weeks in now and down 25 lbs. That book focuses on eating your carbs in small quantities and with protein to minimize the…
