  • I'm 5'10" and shooting for 175
  • Exactly my thoughts. I also don't really use added sugar in my baking. I might use sugary ingredients but I'm not adding cups of sugar to it. Plus you can make the se cake homemade that you'd find in a bakery and it would have about 45 less ingredients.
  • Now that I think about it, it might be density. I've never been able to eat things like pancakes and such and store bought cakes and restaurant food is usually dense. Maybe that's it?
  • I eat primal mostly which is similar to paleo but it calls for me to not eat as much processed foods and if I do eat processed its usually condiments with low sugar content. Last night I decided to say what the hell and go out for Mexican with some friends. I got a guacamole salad and some nachos and I paid for it all…
  • All natural, armpits, legs, down south. Etc. I don't get super hairy but why should I shave? I have more important things to do than fight biology lol
  • Yup. Love it!
  • These were interesting reads :) Thanks!
  • @fatjon73 I really like that idea of weighing my food ahead of time and then using it later. I think that wouldn't mess with me all so much since I would still get the feeling of grabbing and eating rather than the potentially triggering decision making while standing in front of the scale right before I eat. @Mistyfied_MD…
  • Yeah I've been really trying to give up gluten and I've done a pretty good job so far. Processed foods are just crap and I'm trying to view my food as fuel and I seem to have a much more positive view on it now that I do. It's just disheartening when 6 weeks later I'm 2 lbs bigger. I'll try eating more and see if that…
  • I'm really trying to avoid using a food scale because I have a long history of eating disorders and I don't want to do anything that would bring me back to those days. That's why I'm not eating like 1200 calories and I'm instead going for the slow route. Am I just going to have to measure my food? Is that the only way to…
  • Heroin addicts care about heroin more than their family because of the strong hold it has over them. They also get track marks and some even become physically unattractive because they aren't eating enough. They can sometimes become homeless because of where they prioritize their money. How many morbidly obese people do…
  • This isn't the only location I've seen this.

  • I'm really happy that you were able to find peace. That's awesome. :) and what you're saying males sense but I'm doing this because I just got done with a four month refeed and I feel like my bingeing got worse. I hope this is sustainable for me. I don't see why it wouldn't be since I'm not cutting out any major food…
  • Well I've been about a week without any added sugar (including added lactose or fructose if it wasn't dairy or fruit) and I feel pretty freaking good. I've been experimenting by eating what I wanted then logging at the end of the day and turned out I've been averaging between 1300-1500. Even today when I thought I overate.…
  • I'm a grammar Nazi but I still haven't figured out how to edit my posts lol And thanks I appreciate it. You'd think something so essential like eating would be easy and natural for everyone.
  • Why are you being so rude? It just seems really unnecessary. I know that dairy and vegetables have sugar but they're not commonly referred to as sugar foods. Its like you don't normally call beans a sodium food even though there is some in them. I misspoke and I didn't realize that we needed to split hairs here. Do you…
  • Yes I have done that before lol. And after I ate that last protein bar I realized the last ingredient on the list was sucralose. Believe me I was a little upset at myself for not seeing it but at least it was like 1g and it was bedtime. I didn't see it there before I ate it. But I mean I can't explain it Acg67 an I think…
  • I know that it's not necessary for me to take out added sugars but it's just not going to work unless I do. I don't understand how to moderate sugar. Its like I get on auto pilot scooping sugar from the canister into my mouth and a simple piece of bread or pasta can trigger it. I have tried and I simply can't do it. A bowl…
  • Does cottage cheese count as added sugars? I've been confused how dairy works with this. Is it possible to never eat any sugar? It's in like every vegetable.
  • Never had them but I love pickled eggs so I imagine they're similar. Chicken gizzards
  • Grody. ..... Tamales
  • Yeah that's what I'll probably do. I'll just have to kick it into high gear when I get back. And jemhh, it's not as simple as just eating my own meals. I don't know how your family is by with mine that is a very bad idea. It'd be nonstop ridicule and accusations of me thinking I'm better than everyone and how I've got my…
  • My family is definitely not where I learned my healthy habits. My mom will only eat fast food, literally, and the rest of them are so freaking picky it's not funny. Usually food is pop tarts, cinnamon rolls, frozen pizza, hotdogs or pizza rolls or fast food. I could cook it but they sure as hell wouldn't eat it. And hiking…
  • I thought saturated fat was bad for you? Sorry this is all new to me...
  • What is the bars on the above comment? It seems to be a new feature because when I used to use MFP it wasn't there. Was his comment banned?
  • My dairy is public but here's today and I'm pretty much done... Fat 50g Sat Fat 21g (which I'm worried about) Carb 157g Fiber 20g Sugar 54g Protein 103g (which is lower than usual)
  • And yeah I know there is sugar in them but not as much as like a regular candy bar. And it's so filling that it controls it better.
  • I'm 5'10" and 229, I can't wait to look like you! :) good job!!!
