I've lost 50 so far and still have 60-70 to go. I played around with my calories and percentages before settling where I'm losing well. I eat around 1600 calories a day at 5% carbs, 70% fat, and 25% protein - it's working well for me at those levels.

This morning I passed the 50 pounds lost milestone. I have a long way to go, but keeping to my macros and loving what I'm eating!

Keto is naturally low carb, but I find I do much better when I focus on much higher fat (70-75% of calories)
-
I've lost just over 50 pounds doing keto. It's the ONLY plan that works for me!

Low carb is the only way I've ever been able to lose more than a few pounds. On keto now, I've lost 49 pounds so far.

Congrats on how far you've come!

$18 a month. I go 6 days a week and have access to several locations (one near work, one near the house)

Depending on your height, 1875 calories might be a little high for loss. Maybe try dropping 100-200 per day and see if that helps.

It's important to be aware of those regular cycle gains - I still weigh a few times a week regardless of when it is I'm in my cycle. I know after a few days I'll have a drop again.

I'm right at the 19-20 pound mark and only my husband has really noticed. I realized that I was still wearing my baggy clothes - that can make a big difference if you hang onto the larger bulky sizes like me!

I've had Hashimotos for 20 years and on thyroid replacement meds. I know I CAN lose with thyroid issues, but it's generally very slow (less than a pound a week). I also think moderate exercise is crucial because it helps boost the metabolism.
-
That's a great suggestion!
-
Same for me - I allocate it into my calories. I know I'm not losing as fast as I probably could, but I'm looking at this as lifestyle change, not a diet. For now, I can still enjoy a drink or two and continue losing

I weigh 241. So does that mean I need to eat 193 grams of protein per day? That sounds awfully high!

If you drink alcohol, just plan it into your exercise / food day and drink what YOU like. I drink red wine or vodka cocktails - add exercise or go slightly lower on food to make sure I have room for it.

If you are truly measuring and accurately logging and still not losing for several weeks in a row, definitely see your doctor. There ARE a few conditions that can affect the metabolism. I have Hashimoto's disease, and can honestly say I gained weight despite eating low calorie and exercising. I measured and weighed…

I've had Hashis for 20 years. I've done lots of experiments and food eliminations and have settled on NO gluten and NO soy. I limit dairy (mostly just cheese) to 1-2 servings per day because it sometimes causes digestive issues for me. I also discovered I could only lose a few pounds on less than 20 grams of carbs a day.…

a really good piece of cheese, a fried egg, and then some mayo mixed with sriracha.

Yesterday I walked 11,616 steps! That's the highest number since I started tracking my walking in March.

I'm still playing with my macros every few weeks. I went from less than 20 grams of carbs to 70% or more of fat to paleo-ish and much higher carbs (75-100) over the past 4 months while I try to find the best balance for me. Right now I'm aiming for 40-60 carbs per day and will stay at that level for a few weeks.
