I also wanted to post a "flip side". I am about 6 months out and feel hungry again. However, what I find is that now I eat like my "skinny friends"- a small portion and I can push it away when I feel satisfied. Unlike some on here I can eat anything and everything- it's choices that are important for me. Ie you can have a…

Wahoo! Congrats!

I usually keep a water in hand when we ascend/descend as it is the swallowing that alleviates pressure (not really the chewing). For some reason I hate chewing gum, makes me feel like a cow lol

Hi feel free to add me too! I am just about same stats as you :)

Wow! Congrats!!

I concur with those above who have said yoga! I love my workouts and look forward to them every day!!! Biggest thing for me is liking what I do- so my formula is yoga, running, paddleboarding, weights, and a bit of biking and hiking. It's fun to be so active! Also- you look beautiful! Congrats and wishing you continued…

I am by no means a "vet" but I'm going with the body needing more cals to heal answer - luckily protein is just what your body needs during recovery! I think sticking to plants and protein (with a smattering of other "stuff" if that's what works for you) and you should be fine!

Awesome!

Woahhh you look fantastic! Awesome job!

TN tinker- me and you are in the same boat sister! I too was hungry from day one. Not acid, not head hunger. My surgeon and I talked and I now split my meals in two and eat 6x a day. Definitely helps keep hunger at bay and I can sustain a decent amount of activity.

To echo others- I don't regret it for a second! I had it about 5 months ago and in total I'm down 76 lbs (pre and post op included). Not only have I lost a lot of weight but it had opened so many doors to things I truly never thought I would do. I am biking, running, hiking, doing inversions in yoga, paddle boarding and…

I feel for you- I always had bad acid reflux pre op and it certainly hasn't improved. At this point nexium is my spirit animal lol. I take it at night before bed and I am have no reflux. I noticed when the reflux gets bad I can't eat and feel miserable 24/7. Be careful with the naproxen. I ended up with nasty gastritis…

I'm with duffslove and do the Victoria's Secret bra myself- I LOVE it. The one I have has a hook in the front with a zip over it so I feel secure in it and it solves the DIDTHISGETSMALLERWHENIGOTSWEATYLETMEDISLOCATEMYSHOULDERTOGETITOFF issue lol However it is a bit pricey so when I get my new one soon I will get it a bit…

Hi! This is a question I had preop myself. Right after surgery I had a hard time with water (especially plain) so it was sip sip sip all day. Now I can drink a 16 oz water bottle in about 10 minutes depending on meal timing (if I'm already empty it doesn't stay in my tummy-if full it takes a little bit). I don't feel…

Size 14 first time since college! Also I can run a 5k now :) wahoo!

I agree with all above! I think it's smart to do your research but please don't be discouraged by random bad experiences on the Internet. My surgeon was wonderful and I had ZERO complications. I do get some acid reflux now but take a nexium once a day and limit coffee and it doesn't bother me at all. I am hoping getting to…

Yes! MFP (and all my awesome buddies!)- forgot that one

Qbaimee- I am so totally in your shoes on the stall at 4 months. I think stalling at this point is totally normal as I have seen others in the same boat. My nutritionist has me eating 1200 cals/day so depending on your gym activity you might need more? I would talk to your doc/nutritionist/support system :)

I have the charge hr and I love it. No problems charging or tracking everything... Except weight lifting exercise. I haven't tried biking with it yet but I fully expect it not to track that well either. That being said I would buy it again! It really fine tuned my weightloss

At first I told just immediate family and 3 very close girlfriends. Now, I am pretty open about it. It's kinda obvious for when I eat with people. Also I am open to help others-especially some of my plus size friends who have also always struggled with their weight. I guess for me coming from a place where NOTHING was…

Good for you!

I second the gene pro! Stuff is magic and seriously got me thru the first few months

Congrats on being sleeved and on being on solid food! I was about to chew my own arm off two weeks post op lol

I am cold all the time and I love it! I used to sweat all the time no matter what the season. So nice to be cool this summer

Wow awesome!!!
-
Woo hoo! That's awesome!
-
Thank you for this! It made me have an "aha" moment- I have been within my cals lately but really really struggling. May be time to investigate on a "macro" level. Xoxo as usual I love and appreciate your honesty- you rock!

Any where where I have stretch marks it gets itchy... So pretty much everywhere lol
