  • Wow really? I’m 170 so it seems reasonable I’d burn a bit more but maybe mfp wasn’t as off as I thought. I suppose all the jumping would burn extra calories.
  • Oh yeah that makes sense to some degree im probably not going to worry about hitting a certain number of grams of fat or protein just cuz it seems complicated to me but thanks for the explanation of the calculations. But I'll definitly change my calorie goal and see how it goes for a bit
  • Ok I think that is making sense. So i used an online calculator and put in my info, it says my TDEE is 2152, so minus 20% is 1722. In 4-8 weeks if I'm losing more than 2 lb per week or whatever my target is, I raise the calories by 100 is that what you mean? Just clarifying ...and thanks for the help
  • l'll look up info on the tdee method. Thanks everyone for the tips
  • I will look into trying to log food more accurately and weigh if I can manage it Deannafisher: thanks i didn't know that it may be over estimating exercise that could be part of the issue psulemon: yeah Id be willing to try that method. So then you don't log any exercise? How do I know what to initially set my calories at
  • When I was trying to get my calorie level I would usually select that im moderate activity but sometimes I question if it should be light or moderate
  • Thankyou for all the answers I do appreciate the advice. PsuLemon: I've been dieting for over 2 years (but 10 months of it was pregnancy so I wasn't trying to lose weight). I do have a scale. It's an old non digital one and I'm not entirely sure if it's accurate. Needless to say I don't use it. I do measure often if it's…
  • Oh I didn't know that good to know about protein maybe I will try lowering it a bit.
  • I have been at the same weight for 2 or 3 months not just a week or two. I don't have any issue with making the meals tasty or whatever that's fine. I just can't eat a lot of carb because I've had insulin resistance issues. If I eat much of them I gain weight unfortunately so I'm not able to eat more than 20-30% carb but…
  • I had GD with my baby. I'm not pregnant anymore and it did go away. I did use insulin. Add me if you like.
  • Thank you for the replies! I am definitly trying to lose weight because of the diabetes and other reasons. I seem to only have issues with it during pregnancy but having gestational diabetes puts you at higher risk for diabetes overall.
  • I agree a doctors advice might be needed but I don't think it's anything to worry about. I was trying to conceive and read that excercise is fine. But my routine was kinda mild though. I had a miscarriage also and can see how it may cause concern. Def talk your doctor I bet it's fine
