  • Congrats on your new low!! Just please be aware NSV stands for "Non-scale Victory", so your dress size post is appropriate for this thread while your weight update is actually off-topic.

  • He might find he eats more during the day. This "WOE" doesn't mean input restriction. If you're healthy, you eat to sustain your health. He may find better endurance (after initial adaptation) as he will be protected from blood sugar spikes as a result of regulating his insulin better. I don't think there's anyone who…

  • Oh, it is. Come on over, I'll buy you one! Actually I'm going at lunch to buy my Ninja Coffee Bar. Dunno if Kohl's will leave me with any time to pick up coffee on my way back. I may have to decide between picking up food or getting that americano.

  • Last night our enormous 18lb cat decided to lay on my stomach on the couch. As I "oofed" under his weight, I realized I've lost as much weight as he AND his sister (9lb cat) weigh, plus a pound of butter!, COMBINED. Feeling that weight back on my stomach, I was awed at my accomplishment!

  • The comments in that are a 180º from what I'm used to seeing in comments about dietary health! Wow!
  • I saute them. Usually I eat them in shrimp scampi so what I do is add the zoodles to the pan with the shrimp and sauce, then stir a bit to coat them. Cover, get the plates, come back and it's done. If you cook them too long their cells will all rupture and you'll have watery limp zoodles.
  • Yikes, what a ton of *kitten* you had dumped on you! Just remember that what you put in your mouth is the ONE THING you CAN control! You'll get back to it, do it for you! You deserve the benefits of what Keto and Low Carb can bring you!

  • The grocery bill was pretty high the first time, but we'd been away and were out of a lot. Plus, I was doubling the recipes to account for everyone and I think there was a lot more food than we actually needed (though I'm happy to see that most of it will get eaten). I probably don't need to double the unrolled eggrolls,…
  • I bring a coffee to the theater these days. Corn products are a serious binge-trigger for me. Tortillas, taco shells, popcorn.. I just can't trust myself. In *theory* you could have like, half a child's small popcorn. But corn is not a great way to use your carb allotment for the day, and you may find like I do that there…
  • He certainly has! And I'm sure he'd return to his ice cream as soon as he lost the 10 pounds that is his goal, so I'm wiping my hands of it. It's fine if he wants to eat our meals, and I don't even have to warn him that he shouldn't eat both ways, because my mom has told him several times (YES!).
  • Kerrygold on everything! I have at least 30 g, just in my coffee. Then I add it to meat, and it's in plenty of recipes.
  • I'm cooking for four people, and as I'm the only one who actually goes into work every day, I need the leftovers so that people have an easy option for lunch while I'm out. I did decide, right off, to jump around the menu plan because I wasn't going to spend money on salmon and shrimp in the same week, for example. I did…

  • That's fantastic! Hope he feels the benefits and keeps up with it! Having him on the plan should help you, too!
