  • I've been focused more on strength lately (still at a deficit) and had to bounce back from spring break. My weight hasnt changed much but all but 1 pair of jeans feels very loose! This is awesome from a weight loss standpoint but a struggle when I think about the cost of new clothes!!
  • Logged into an old app I used to use to workout sometimes and had to update the weight I had entered from 250 to 196. Related to weight but it was a great reminder of where I used to be and how well I've done even though I've stalled out the last couple weeks.
  • Being able to actually see my muscles when I work out vs just knowing there's some somewhere under my fat...
  • This one is a little bittersweet, but after a visit to my family I realized how active I have become and how inactive the rest of my family is. We ate and sat around 99% of the time I was there and it made me stir crazy but also opened my eyes to the habits I had growing up and how, as an adult, I'm glad I've been able to…
  • Got another "have you lost some weight?" Comment at work yesterday lol and just walking in front of the mirror and thinking that I look good instead of noticing negatives. It's awesome!
  • Had totally planned to get fast food last night and didn't. I wasn't really hungry and didn't want that many calories, huge NSV that I didn't just make the excuse and stop!
  • Omg I have had food dreams this past week, I'm in a pretty big deficit so maybe that's it lmao
  • Put on a button up shirt today and it actually fit, it had always been a bit tight before so it felt awesome having room to move!
  • Did not finish my meal tonight eating out! Instead I have lunch for tomorrow and stayed very close to my calorie goal, win!
  • Great for cardio and any calorie burn is good, I have read that swimmers tend to retain a little more fat because you're in the cold and the body doesn't want to burn as much. This could be a myth but as someone who swam competitively for years and never got down to a "normal" bmi, there may be some merit
  • Ate a lot today but NSV is that clothes are looking and feeling better as I get stronger!
  • As you get less fat the fat can appear more obvious compared to muscle since there's less and it looks out of place. Also, where you lose fat becomes very noticeable (such as not losing much in the stomach but arms are looking skinnier)
  • Ran on the treadmill in shorts today and felt pretty good about it, legs didn't chafe too bad and I wasn't a self conscious as I expected!
  • That exercise feels like so much less work. As someone who was fairly athletic then put on a bunch of weight and has now lost 70 lbs running a mile feels so different now and I love it
  • Ate a lot of crappy food yesterday, BUT I did not eat again when I got home. I used to do that, even if I'd been eating all day and wasn't hungry, if it didn't feel like I had a "real meal" I would still eat something. Huge victory there!
  • Ran 8 miles in my half marathon training this morning! Starting to feel my muslces growing and my endurance improving!
  • Clothes are fitting looser after a month back calorie counting and lots of running! Progress feels good!
  • Started half marathon training in the beginning of January and still going strong even with some setbacks!
  • Two for today, one was that I worked out yesterday even though I wasn't planning to (instead of just hanging around on the couch) The next one is that when I worked out, my pants that have been too too tight since I bought them were only just a little tight! Only down a few pounds so far so that was a nice surprise

  • I'm in a similar boat right now! I started a couple years ago at 271 and am currently at 204, lowest was 192 this spring, it can feel really frustrating to still have a bunch to lose but I just try to focus on positive changes and working out to build muscle. I accept that I'll probably always have body image issues but…
  • Thought I went way over yesterday and didn't want to log it, but just finished up and I was only about 100 calories over! It helps to log everything and see it all, even when I'm scared I went over by a lot
  • Going to orientations/trainings and packing a lunch (and pre logging it) instead of opting to grab fast food!
  • @arcticwoman you can do it! I started at 5' 9" and 271, I'm currently hanging around 200 hoping to lose another 30+ lbs, just keep going and build some healthy habits!
