  • If you actually are interested in trying protein powders, there are other kinds, non-dairy, to suit your vegan lifestyle. I personally use a mix of whey/casein, but whey is by far not the only kind of protein powder in the world! http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/10-best-tasting-vegan-protein-powders.html
  • Thanks so much! That's a huge compliment, because in the first picture I'm 18 and in the second picture I'm 25... so I'm actually 7 years older ;)
  • 40lbs lost between August 2011 and March 2012 (though these pictures are from 2007 and 2014 respectively). While I was looking for before and after picture examples for this, I was like, "I don't think I really look that different now, but I guess I'll just-- oh never mind."
  • Hijiki salad, wakame soup, tuna omelette..... today's school lunch was really, really unfortunate. :/
  • It depends if the person doing the flirting is creepy or not. If they're attractive with a decent personality, I enjoy it. I just have to keep it at a certain level because, you know. Boyfriend.
  • I second the green smoothies option! If you like smoothies, that is. http://simplegreensmoothies.com/ has some yummy recipes and the best thing is (for vege haters, at least) you can't taste the greens at all if you get the right amounts in there. I'm a vege lover, but I get in an extra serving or two in a green smoothie…
  • Hi! I'm on Week 1 Day 3 right now. I usually hate running too, but this makes it so much easier to start, and it definitely doesn't feel like I'm pushing myself too hard. Add me if you like! :) (Or anyone on this thread who's doing it, more friends and support can never be a bad thing!)
  • My advice is not to set a number goal, especially such a high one. It'll just lead to disappointment. Aim to eat healthier, get some exercise and slowly lose that unwanted fat along the way. I started at 180lbs and I lost 36lbs in 5 months, which is probably more realistic and healthy. And I felt great, even though it…
  • Unless she and you following the exact same calorie deficit, the exact same diet, and the exact same exercise program, you can't really compare yourself to her. Just keep at it, and if you want to lose faster, don't be afraid to ask for advice on the forums.
  • I weigh weekly (or once every two weeks). I don't see the point of weighing daily, unless you have some kind of medical issue that requires it. Otherwise, what's it going to tell me? "Oh, my water weight has increased by a pound, I must've gone heavy on the salt yesterday."
  • I'm 5"4 and 142 lbs. My goal is to reach about 125 lbs. I'm more concerned with my percentage of fat than my actual weight, since a muscular woman my weight and height would probably be far more healthy than a skinny-fat woman my height and 10 lbs lighter.
  • I have it too, was diagnosed when I was 15 years old, after I started getting nausea and ended up puking every time I ate. I immediately started cutting down on starches and things with a high GI (so, white rice, anything with white flour, potatoes) and it helped with a lot of my symptoms. I finally decided to start doing…
  • Hi Stacie! Congrats, and good idea getting started early! I have a wedding tentatively planned for 2017, but hopefully by the time that date rolls around, MY rolls will be long gone. Good luck!
  • I lost a lot of weight (about 40lbs for me too) quickly and unhealthily 3 years ago due to an eating disorder. Put back on about 12lbs while focusing exclusively on getting mentally healthy. This time around, I'm also doing a lot more weights, and I'm trying to keep to a really small deficit to avoid triggering anything.…
  • Not that I've ever been officially diagnosed, but I think I had Compulsive Over-Eating Disorder. I got fat at like, 6 or 7 years old, right after my baby sister died, and stayed that way until I was 22. I remember taking my mum's food one time and hiding in my room to eat it and getting in so much trouble. I was in such a…
  • Even when parts you want to get smaller start to, it can be hard to wrap your mind around. I had to learn to stop thinking of myself as a fat person after I lost my first 35lbs. It was hard. One time I was out eating with a friend and I couldn't choose between two (tiny) desserts, so I decided to have both, and she said to…
  • I dunno, some trolls are very literate. ;) Maybe not this one though, doesn't seem to understand the idea of paragraphs. And who knows, maybe other guys are reading this thread and will get the hint that most girls in clubs don't want a stranger's phallus all up in their grill. It's surprising how many just don't seem to…
  • As a clubbing girl with an insight into these things, I’m gonna tell it to you straight. There are (generally) three reasons girls go to clubs. - Just there to dance/with friends (they aren’t interested in you, or anyone. Respect them and leave them alone.) - Looking for love (grabbing her and making out with her is going…
  • Recently I like mine made with half buckwheat flour, then topped with vanilla yogurt, halved strawberries and agave syrup.
  • On the bright side, if you aren't seeing the changes on the outside, maybe all those changes are happening inside first. Which, in the long run, is much more important for your health. I'd LOVE to lose all the fat from around my organs first, haha! Alternatively, I once saw it described like a roll of paper towels - even…
