I agree: interval training; but more high intensity interval training [HIIT] where you have shorter bursts of speed followed by jogging slowly. Here are some articles: http://www.runnersworld.com/running-tips/run-faster-with-high-intensity-interval-training…

it has high fructose corn syrup which many studies say isn't good for you. It also has 4 g of sugar [in form of HFCS] per tablespoon which could add up to alot of sugar depending on how much you use, etc.

I love the little bags of pistachio nuts...some have 80 calories and some have 120 calories. Plus you have to work to get the nut. That plus a clementine. Hummus and carrots or cauliflower is another good snack.

i also think you crave things sometimes...that time of the month, stress triggers, etc. It's a continual battle. Keep logging and try to make better choices. You can do it.

I got fat while pregnant with 3rd kid at 31...by the time he was two years old, I was in the best shape of my life [16% body fat] and stayed mostly fit until about 39 hit a mini depression [lost 2 dear friends within a year]... I think weight training is important especially as you age. That said, I weight train and I read about BCAAs... I bought Xtend Watermelon blast [it's an acquired taste] and sip it while working out every day. I've only been doing this for a couple weeks [per the program I'm doing -- Natalie Jill 12 week shred]. Got mine on…

I drink black coffee in the morning [16 oz.] with 1 stevia packet. I buy whey protein at Costco. Hubby and I [and kids] have smoothies every day so we go through it! My current favorite smoothing is Blueberry Bliss: 1 cup frozen blueberries; throw in some frozen cherries if you have them; 1/2 T coconut oil; 1 tsp chia…

is he against all deadlifts? or is he worried about straining your back? perhaps suitcase deadlift [using dumbbell or kettlebell]. You could also do rack pull deadlift [only partial range of motion]. let me find links... suitcase deadlift https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI3bHzvCHRs rack pull deadlift…

track what I eat.

I'm 5'2" and older and fatter. When I was my fittest in my 30s [about 10 years ago]. I weighed just under 130 and my body fat was 16-18%. Do you weight train at all? That will reduce fat and give you lean muscle. The weight might not change but you'll look leaner.

how about dark chocolate? 70% cacao. Trader joe's has nice 100 calorie bars. Could be your end of day treat?

you could AFTER you learned the moves. I think they call the new classes onramp or something. AT least do a few of those better yet join for a month or two. Then you can do the WOD on your own at home or a gym. My brother loves crossfit. I personally don't get it. It seems like an injury waiting to happen.
