PB2. I know it's been around for a while, but I've just heard about and am dying to try it. I also recently descovered these hot chocolates for the Kureg. The brand is Laura Second, and they're mint hot chocolates. They're also only 70 cals each and have only 7 grams of sugar. They're so delicious!

Try some less sugary alternatives, maybe? Sugary foods tend to leave you wanting more, and just a little doesn't satasfy. For example: Sugar-free Chocolate Icecream: Blend 1 or 2 frozen bananas into a smooth icecream, then mix in cocoa powder and vanilla extract. Chocolate Syrup: Soak dates overnight. Blend the next day…

Thanks!

I will. Schizophrenia is something my psychiatrist said could be a possibility, because of my extreme paranoia over food and a few other things. Also, some other symptoms. I have not had any official diagnosis, yet. Most probably because I missed my last 2 appointments. No, I didn't mention this site.

Thank you! I am currently not on any medication, as my doctor has not diagnosed me with anything, yet. Also, my therapist writes everything off as Anxiety. That website is very interesting, I have never heard of it, until now. Thanks. :)

I have a food scale and I weigh my rice dry. I also log everything. Thanks everyone, a good advice!

I dont eat like this all the time, just some of the time, so I'm unsure if this contributes to weight loss. Perhaps "often" was an overstatement. I do work out, but I don't have time to every day. I do have a calorie deficit, however saving food consumption till the end of the day seems like a good way to make sure I…

Hemp shakes sound very interesting! I'll have to look onto that, thanks.
-
No problem. I didn't know There was such a thing as vegan shakes, haha. I was just talking about your average protein shakes.

It's not a fad, if it's something that works, you commit to and it becomes your lifestyle, not drop as soon as something you perceive as better comes along. Also, a diet is something temporary, whereas here I am talking about long term, as in the rest of my life. Make sense? I took that out of my question, since it's…

This isn't just a fad for me I often eat like this already, however, before I commit I want to know if it will be worth my while. Yes, you can build muscle on a deficit if you are consuming enough protein at the right times, regardless of calories.

Everyone seems to be all for gram scales, but the image of me weighing and measuring each morsel of food feels so obsessive and disordered. I really don't want to open that door. My goal in life is to have a healthy relationship with food, not be thinking about foodan all the time, and maintain my desired weight. I don't…

Thank you, this was a very helpful answer.

I started eating this way, about a month ago. I have been strength training for about a four months.
-
Everyone needs to stop thinking they know what weight I should be, just from the stats I posted above. Everyone's body is different, and I know what is a healthy weight for me. 10lbs is not just "a slight weight gain", either. I take great care of my body, and I am not depriving it in any way.
-
I strength train, but I don't go out of my way to do cardio.
-
No, that is actually the weight I have maintaned without even trying, the whole time I was in college. I ate completely healthy (usure of the calories), and I didn't even work out.
-
That sounds like a good idea.
-
No. I measure with a measuring cup, or I just follow the serving size said on the packaging.
-
Yes, I'm quite certain I am.

Hi, Christina! I think we're kind of on the same page. This site can be good and bad, but it is quite useful. I sent you a request; maybe we can keep in touch. Good luck!
-
You're very right. It's just hard, but I think I can do it.
-
Thank you, very helpful advice! I will definitely look up that book. I know exaclty what you are going through, dealing with stress, anxiety anf depression. I hope it all works out for you. Best of luck!
-
Wow. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I do struggle with anxiety and depression, and most recently, a lot of lack of sleep and physical exhaustion from work. I have never brought up binge eating to my therapist, mostly because it is extremely embarrassing and difficult to talk about. After recent events,…

Thank you, this is some great advice! Good luck on your journey.

That sounds so awful! I guess for some people, it's better to ease off slowly. When I quit anything, it works best if I just do it cold-turkey, grit my teeth through the withdrawls, and move on. It's how I quit smoking. I tried several times using patches, gums, and easing off. This New Years I finally said, "I will not…

I usually wait till the evening to eat my cooked meals, as well. I will definitely add you. :)
-
I will, for sure. It's not neccessarily replacing coffee, as it is quitting caffein. After a while, you just won't need it for energy, anymore.
-
I'm always inspired by vegan athletes. I hope you do well on your marathon! Quitting coffee is something I have been wanting to do that for a long time, now. I have decided that I will after I use up my current jar of instant. I am definitely not looking forward to the withdrawls... Good luck with your journey, as well!
