WOW all your graphs look great. Then there is mine

Look at a long term trend. Is your progress graph on a general downward slope? Adjust it so you can see 6 months or something and you can see a bigger picture

My small advice is a digital food scale to weigh everything. Measuring cups aren't as accurate. Once you get your usual foods in it is super easy to just re-select the same stuff. Set lots of goals no matter how small or silly they seem. (I started with weighing all my food for a day). Finally be ready for the long haul…

The way I track home made stuff is by weighing everything that goes in. Add up all the stuff you have put in. Once it is done weigh the end product and then divide it by the number of servings you are going to make the stock.

My advice is to stay the coarse. Losing the last 10 15 lbs can take the longest. It is a slow and steady wins the race. Don't do to much all at once and take it slow. If you notice you are slowing down into a plateau maybe try a re-feed week. Just set MFP to Maintain weight and then after a week go back to diet. Set lots…

So ummm I don't see a question in your posts? What do you need help with?
-
I don't mind at all open book here  My heaviest was 260 lbs, but I lost 40 lbs then fell off the bandwagon. The more recent and successful time I started at 245 lbs and am now under 195 lbs.

FYI the last 10 - 15 lbs are the longest and hardest. Hang in there and maybe try to start recomp early so that you know how to maintain the weight you are at.
-
Yea I'm close to your height and weight and I eat 2000 calories to lose weight and 2500 calories to maintain weight.
-
Everything that people have said above. You could also try a re-feed week. Normally is the kinda thing weight lifters do, but it might break your plateau. Just take a week and set your MFP goal to maintain weight. It isn't an excuse to fall of the band wagon, but a chance to let your body know everything is all good. Just…

I lost 50 lbs and went from a 38 - 40 waist to a 32 - 34 waist. My shirts went from XXL / XLR to Large / Medium. I didn't buy clothes as I lost weight because I hate clothes shopping. I just waited until I reached my goal and got new belts.

I personally like reduced sugar almond milk. It has a hint of sweetness in it, but still only 60 calories for a cup (I only use half of a cup). Just me though I hate black coffee. If you need more advice hit me up of MFP [edited by MFP Mods]

Can I ask what didn't work last time? I have never done weight watchers, but from what my coworkers talk about it is basically the same thing just simplified into points. In the end you still weigh everything and document everything. What else do you need help with? [edited by MFP Mods]

It is generally accepted that losing 1 lbs a week is the healthiest and most sustainable way to loose weight. I'm not sure the calories because I don't know much about your information other then your height. MFP has an option for 1 lbs a week and that is probably for the best. I don't know the workout, but it sounds like…

Now it depends on what you exercise goals are, but you can download free applications like c25k or 5x5 on your smart phone. They have full workout routines that can help you progress. If you are not looking for that kind of things even 30 min walks everyday can make a big difference in the long run. Want to hit me up or…

Welcome back! My advice is stay the coarse. Slow and steady wins this race. Don't do a crash diet and loose a bunch fast. Take it slow and schedule like 1 lbs a week. Set a lot of small goals no matter how silly the sound, because checking a bunch of small goals can make that big long term one seem easier. Want to hit me…

My advice is to check on your shoes they need to be replaced every 500 miles if not sooner. Do some research on running form (I bet you are striking way far forward) podcasts and youtube video's. Get a roller and roll your IT band before and after every run (Helped my IT issue that I thought was Ham's). Try your best to do…

Heck yea that is an accomplishment. I cheered out loud that my family came to check on me when I was no longer in the obese section of the BMI. Way to GO!!!! Want to hit me up or hear more advice check out my blog or hit me up [edited by MFP Mods]

If you are lifting weights or working out your arms and you see veins it is normal. Blood rushes to the area to fuel the muscles so that same blood needs to leave the area to head back to the lungs. So you veins get big. I can see the veins on my arm most of the time, but after a good upper body workout they look like they…

I did run in Vibrams. Then I did a Farlick run and my ankles were killing me for about a week. I then immediately switched to regular running shoes from a actual running store and havn't had a problem since. I have a pair of saucony running shoes and I'll never go back. If still have problems you can have someone evaluate…

It is probably just your glycogen stores coming back. The problem I noticed about going to maintainance is that you kinda have to play a game of adding and subtracting calories until you find that sweet spot. If you still lose add 100 calories and wait a month. If you are still losing add more. The other way is the same if…

I hope you stay with it. Take it slowly but steady. Make a list of a lot of small goals to make your big goal more manageable. If you ever needed advice you can hit me up here [edited by MFP Mods]

Yea that willeaks happen with other things as well. For me it was butter and cream for my coffee. I cut those out because I would rather have cheese instead of butter and almond milk instead of fancy creamers.

Be steadfast and remember slow and steady wins this race. You can do it. Write down lots of small goals to make the big one more manageable, don't let one bad day ruin anything and be strong. [edited by MFP Mods]

If you have a cold maybe go for a short walk instead. Dont get down about not going to the gym while sick. Just get back at it when you feel better.

I was grossed out by my reflection in the mirrior. I can totally understand your motivation. Took 50lbs off and feel and look much better. Be open about your goals and try writing down stuff so you can see how far you have gone. Remember slow and steady wins the race. [edited by MFP Mods]

Not to be a negative nick but 40 lbs in 4 months isn't very realistic. The healthiest way is 1-2 pounds a week. It doesn't seem sustainable. My advice is lengthen you goal time frame so that you can lose the 40 lbs and keep it off. Otherwise you might fall off the horse or hurt yourself. Slow and steady wins this race.
