  • I added both of you. I log everyday, make daily motivational posts and offer advice when asked for.
  • If 4100 calories could kill you then restaurants like cheese cake factory and claim jumper would be convicted murderers.
  • You can do wrist spacific workouts. As long as they dont cause pain of course. Lay your fore arm down on a bench or flat surface palm up with a light weight. Then just move your hand up and down slowly. Have a wooden dowel that has a hole through the middle. Put some rope through the hole and loop the rope around a weight.…
  • On any DVD workout you should watch the thing before trying to workout too it. I have done many of these things (Insanity, p90x, p90x3, Max 30, T25) and if you go in blind you will get frustrated with them, because you are trying to copy them and watch at the same time often ends in falling on you face or butt. Watch the…
  • For all those looking to be adopted or wondering what the adoption is you just need to read the first post in this thread. You will see what mentors are actively looking and who to contact. :) Good luck on your fitness journey.
  • Anyone in here can add me. I do daily motivation posts, give advice when i think it is needed and log food and exercise daily. Lost a lot of weight and now am helping others.
  • I'm experimenting with that as we speak myself, but a few things that are recommended are Epsom salt baths, compression socks and stretching. That's what most online articles say, but I'm seeing what works best for me still.
  • I think you have the correct idea. A lot of small goals can make big ones more mandible. I started with counting calories for breakfast everyday for a week. Then lunch and breakfast, then all day calories for a week. Then 2 weeks and then a month. Suddenly it had been 9 weeks since I started and counting calories was no…
  • Fajitas, no oil or butter. Chicken or shrimp or veggie. I skip the tortillas so I can have the cheese melted on top. Just my go to :)
  • Really you can start with body weight exercises. Pushups, chair dips and burpees don't need anything but a floor and chair with no wheels. Squats, lunges and Calf Raises can be done with your 1kg weight. It's a start until you can afford a gym.
  • You could try a re-feed week. I know it sounds crazy, but take a week and set you weight loss to maintain weight for a full week. Then after the week go back to dieting. Since times you have to eat a little too get you body to realize it can still lose weight. Give it a try :)
  • Set lots of small goals no matter how silly. Checking off a bunch of small goals makes the big one easier to get to.
  • That's pretty vague. Are you trying to compete in a body building competition? Google body building coaches and you will probably have ever to pay but you will get "shredded"
  • Haven't set foot in a gym in a decade. I have biceps, Triceps and muscular legs. Make your home your own personal gym slowly but surly
  • I can only tell you about my stretch marks. People think they are ugly. I think of them as proof of how far I have come. 260lbs left stretch marks on my stomach, arms and thighs. 190lbs those same stretch marks are my bodies way of proving how far I have come and to not go back. Don't think of things as negatives. Surround…
  • Also for some of us that have lost weight we need the muscle to replace the excess skin that the fat use to fill. I have been recomping for about a year and I'm seeing nice results. I'll never be a body builder or anything, but I'm much happier with my reflection
  • Shattered my ankle playing football. Plate and screws the whole nine yards. After physical therapy I was able to get range of motion back, but my ankle would hurt after being on my feet more then an hour. After 5 years of dealing with that I elected to have the plate and screws removed and it made walking and running for…
  • Agree with Corey. Where is the pain? I bet it is a running form problem. You are probably over striding and have your knees to far out in front of your body. Google running form and make sure you are running correctly
  • My advice is set your long term goals, but also set a bunch of little short term goals no matter how small. Never under estimate the positivity you get from completing even the smallest goal. If you have enough small goals you might find your big goals are not nearly as far away as they once were.
  • Congratulations on the running. You probably should do a small taper the week of the event. Taper is where you cut back on your training. Try and go for a slow short run 4 days before and you can do some resistance the week before. Try and take at least 2 days before the event off entirely. A carb load isn't really…
  • I started with dumbbells at home that went up to a max of 25 and now I'm lifting 35 - 40s. I haven't set food in a gym in over a decade and the last 2 years lost 50 lbs and have been stable recomping for 1 year. Yes it is possible
  • I have lost 50lbs and still drink soda's. They are just diet now instead of wasting calories on regular soda. Either give it up, log the calories and eat less (don't recommend that) or learn to love diet.
  • Sent some friend requests. I try to post motivating things, but I'm also a mentor to a few people on these boards and forget to from time to time. Always willing to chat about fitness
  • I have a blog post about this very subject as I am experimenting with heart rate training. I just put a little of the guts of the theory below. It shows how they come about the zones and which I am training in and why. If you want to know more you can always PM me. Well there are a lot of ways, but the most simple way is…
  • Hay I was there two years ago. I hated looking in the mirror after my shower. I was disgusted at what I saw, but I knew the only way to change the reflection was to change the person looking into the mirror. My advice is to take is slow and remember this isn't a race, but a long slow journey to a whole new life. :D
  • I work out nearly everyday and am willing to help anyone. Just add me :)
  • Nearly 36 year old dad with a 5 year old and 10 months old. Been on my fitness journey over 2 years now. Willing to help anyone who wants it add me :D
