People always lose weight fast in the beginning and then it slows down. You will have some weeks that you will lose a little and others that you will lose a lot. Just take it all in stride and be patient.

I am also doing a sprint only in Aug. From what I have read the sprints are super easy and people with no fitness level at all try them. As far as endurance as long as you can run a few miles then I understand you should be good. I could friend you and let you know after August.

It really depends on what's going on in your life. Are you lifting weights? You probably gain muscle. Are you near your cycle? You probably retaining water. Try not to worry about it. Stay the course and you will see results over the long run. Good luck :)

You are losing weight. The scale might not be moving, but losing inches means it is still working. You could be replacing fat with muscle. That will make the scale not move, but lose inches. Stay the course you are doing great.

Welcome and good luck with your goals.

If you are going to have a chat day just keep it a meal. Be good for two meals then eat a cheat meal, dessert and drinks. Then log the meal. Then you arn't getting out of the habit

I read a great post from some professional body builders and they recommend eating maitence calories 4 days a week then cut 3 days a week. It should allow you to build muscle and still lose weight. What I have read at least.

I agree that fitbit calories are over estimated I have been maintaining my weight for about 4 months and have never eaten all the calories that my fitbit says I should. I just go with what MFP says and leave it at that.
-
It depends on what "eating healthy" is. You have to make sure you are getting enough protein, fiber etc. If you just focus on carbs or calories it might not work for you. Everyone is different. Try changing your macros.

I had two plateaus over the last year of losing weight. Both times I did what my brother called a body reset. I would eat 100 calories over maitence calories for a whole week. You would think I would have gained weight after it, but I didn't. I actually lost after that week.

There are lots on YouTube for free stuff. I personally like Insanity, T25 and P90x from Beachbody.com. They cost money of course. Good luck :)
-
I agree. Just move on and don't let it effect your success. It happens.
-
Nevermind I Google it and MFP said they won't publically announce the winner for privacy reasons. I'll delete this post in a bit.

Welcome. Its a great tool to use if you are dedicated abut logging. Good luck :)
-
I also have had a lot of ups and downs. This time I did something different. I set a lot of little goals. Some of them were totally stupid and then there was my big weight goal. It might help stay on track.
-
Also set lots off goals that have nothing to do with scales. Just take it slow and steady. Maybe start with walking or some light weight training and log your food diligently. The first step is some times the hardest.
-
You could try a body reset. Eat maitence calories for a week. Still log everything and exercise just like normal, but just eat your normal calories for your current weight. My professional body building brother recommended it to me and it worked amazing on those plateaus. Good luck :)
-
They have calories so I count them. I usually don't weight them after the first few times, but I do log my onions, peppers, lettece, broccoli and the rest.
-
Good luck. There are a lot of resources on this community. Have patience and be ready for the long haul. :)

I don't supliment either. I get most mine from reg food (chicken, fish, turkey) and egg whites. The occasional muscle milk lite and Greek yoga also helps.

No Oregonian's up in this place? Representing here.

Don't be scared. You will gain a little when you're body restores it's glycogen reserves. Just take it slow maybe up your calories by 100 to 200 for a week. If you still lose then up again. I like to call it the calorie game. Play the game and find what works for you. :D

I am down 55 lbs. I did it with out ever setting foot in a gym too. It's not as much as some people in MFP, but I havn't been this thin since wrestling seasons in highschool.
-
It sounds like you know what you need to do, but I'll give you my two cents. Start slow and make a lot of non scale goals along the way to your main goal. Start by simply logging you food and set a goal even if it seems stupid easy like a week or even a couple of days. After a couple of weeks of logging food start to…

Thanks for the replies. I hope everyone else has the same success that I have had. :-D

Maintaining is almost as hard as losing. The big thing is to find how many calories you need to maintain. Everyone is different and the MFP maitence calories might not work for you (it didn't for me). Play around with your calories until you find what works for you. Good luck :-D
-
Yup what the person above said. Now is the tone you start paying the calorie game. Just take one week at a time and eat 1800 calories. If you lose eat an extra 100 or 200 and see what happens. If you gain subtract some. Play the game and see what works for you. Good luck :-D

You could try some fitness video's. I do insanity and t25 they are both cardio intense. I havn't set foot in a gym in years and have lost 50+ lbs over the lady year just at home.

I have had great success with Insanity by beach body. I love it because it kicks my *kitten* and it kicks the people on the videos *kitten* too. I also like T25 for days I don't have a lot of time.
