Put your goals in and mfp will tell you how many calories to eat. Eat that many, and log your exercise and add 50% of those calories. 500 calories is dangerous and is doing more harm than good.

I've lost 23.5 pounds and am still not down a size. I imagine that I must have really squeezed myself into my pants before because now they're comfortable. It's kind of embarrassing to think back on, but I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I failed so many times and it wasn't because I was lazy, or I gave up too easy or I didn't want it bad enough. It's because there is so much junk out there regarding weight loss that I had to wade through. I bought into a lot of gimmicks, and believed a lot of crap that simply wasn't true. Counting calories was the last…

Wow good work! You look fantastic!

I ignore them. How someone else speaks isn't a reflection of you, it's a reflection of them. Focus on the things that have a positive influence in your life, not the things that bring you down. However, if someone is genuinely trying to help you consider what they're saying because it might just be what you need to hear.…

Plus I'll burn lots of calories in the process

I'm going to slaughter everyone skinnier than me. That should do the trick! :p

This was my favorite response and it made me lol. The main motivation for me is getting new clothes when my current clothes get too big. I used to love shopping when I was fit and I'm looking forward to getting back to that point again.

I can relate, except I have the opposite problem. I just want my stomach to get flatter but the weight is coming off everywhere but my stomach! *sigh* it can't be helped. The fat comes off where it wants. All you can do is keep going. Strength training/lifting will help. Eventually you'll see the results you're looking for.

I believe your friends and family will admire you for being strong enough to ask for the help you need. They might be shocked at first, but they'll understand how hard it was for you to reach out and will be proud of you for doing so.

I've never tried appetite suppressants, but I can tell you that after about a week and a half of calorie counting and portion control it felt like my appetite naturally changed. Just stick to it and the amount that you're eating will start to feel right. Make sure you drink plenty of water because thirst can make you think…

My favorite comment was from my dad. He said "you're getting all cutesy. Now you're going to get all mad because boys will be talking to you all the time." This just proves that at 28 years old he still sees me as a little girl. I love being a daddy's girl.

7 weeks and 19 pounds! It went by in a flash and feels like I just started yesterday.

Wow! You are an inspiration! My goal weight is also 130. I sure hope I'll look as great as you do.

It does say "if every day were like today"... My days are never exactly the same. I eat differently and my workouts change. I found the projection motivating at first, but the number kept changing and it didn't make any sense.

Sounds like it's time to invest in rechargeable batteries

For myself I spend about 60 on food per week. I just find a couple recipes I want to try and pick out my snacks so I'm just buying the few ingredients I don't already have at home.

What do you mean when you say your body rejects it? Do you mean puking, stomach pain, heartburn? We really can't help you without the details. If you're having adverse physical reactions to food you need to see your doctor. It could be something like IBS. If you just don't like the taste then there are definitely things…

Oh my goodness you aren't wide! You're curvy and gorgeous!

Oh my gosh thank you so much for this! I hated that it said 0 pounds lost!

I plan to find out once I believe I'm lovable again. (I'm not sure exactly how) I think I'm great, except I don't think obese me is very attractive, and looking back I'm pretty sure my feelings towards myself affected our relationship. Now that I've discovered the ancient secret of counting calories for weightloss I can…

Me too

Nice job!

Me! I'm aiming for 8 pounds. That will get me down to 184 and hopefully down a pants size. I have some pants in the closet I hope to fit into by the end of April.

Confession: I am a butt girl. I love butts in all shapes and sizes. Girl butts, guy butts, doesn't matter. They're so cute, and each one is unique! I also love my own butt, but sadly I think that's where I've lost most of my weight! I'm cursing the weight loss gods for it right now. I'm hoping the rest of my body will catch…

This sounds wonderfully liberating. Once I get the hang of portion control I plan to do this too. I'm obsessive now, but learning and changing habits is hard work no matter what you're trying to change.
-
I totally relate to how a crappy weigh in can ruin your day. Your hard work will show, don't worry! Try to focus on how much stronger you are!

I've seen you in other threads. It didn't make me dislike you at all
