Lmao @ "oily flatulence"! But yes agreed. Hard work, dedication, and determination are the only things needed. Oh and tracking calories, of course.

Yes the third outcome has crossed my mind as well. We'll always be close (he was one of my oldest and dearest friends before we started dating), but not feeling loved in a relationship is NOT in my plans. It would be easier to stop having feelings for him if he stopped fixing my stuff and giving me stuff. Plus my 10 year…

I'm so confused now. What the H is going on here?! Does anyone know of a different online calculator to compare with?
health-calc or exrx.net. Neither will be exact comparisons to MFP, as I already demonstrated on the previous page using her stats. Otherwise any TDEE calculator selecting SEDENTARY only will be…

Very true. Definitely eat more calories if it's easier to sustain. Although I would suggest to try it for a week then see how it feels. If you'll binge because you feel deprived then you're just undoing all of your hard work. I also think that if you're eating the right foods it helps tremendously, but overall it's the…

Agreed. 1600 is maintenance for me (without exercise of course)
-
Not to be a paun, but if 1200 is too low mfp wouldn't give that amount. I agree that it can be too low psychologically for some that fit the stats for that number, but it's not dangerously low or anything. Now if you're not super short like us, your body obviously needs more than that.

Absolutely! My diary is open so feel free to check it out.

Also I do a meal replacement shake in the morning because I don't get a lot of protein. If it will help you conquer lunch issues I say go for it! You can do this! It's not easy, but once you get used to new habits it gets easier! Focus on the goal and follow through!

How long have you been eating 1200 calories? I'm also 5'1" and started at 208 pounds. 1200 was really hard at first because I was used to eating big portions of really heavy foods. My appetite has changed now and I'm happy with 1200. Try to eat whole grains at the time of day when you're normally hungriest. (I usually do…

Ooh he sounds like a jerk. I'm glad you left him. That statement would be a deal breaker for me. (I don't put up with much at all /maybe that's why I'm alone! Lol)

I'm living through everyone here that are eating tasty snacks
-
Mmmm.... Cheesy chips... Drool

That would motivate me, too. I haven't gained since we broke up but I've been struggling with my weight for a long time. (thank God I finally figured out how to get rid of it). I often wonder if my weight was why he seemed so disinterested in me :\
-
Now it's quiet here and I'm kind of embarrassed by my last post.

A lot of you are baring really deep stuff. Seeing the kindness and support here is like a breath of fresh air. I'm inspired to confess something I haven't told anyone. It will feel sooo good to get off my chest. My main motivation for getting in shape and losing weight is that I'm still in love with my ex boyfriend. We've…

I've noticed that instantly after I workout I view myself differently in the mirror. It's strange, but when I'm super lazy I think I look fat and disgusting. After working out I instantly think I'm gorgeous even tho the way I look hasn't changed. Maybe make some workout goals and appreciate the improvements in what your…

I have people tell me they're intimidated by me, and I can look b*tchy but really I'm just incredibly self-conscious. I also tend to operate under the assumption that most people don't like me.
That's me excactly. It really came in handy when I was an officer in the Army. All the enlisted guys (even the seasoned…

I like that line that no is a full sentence. I usually say "I'm not going to argue, I already said no." I've had people call me a b!tch to my face for that one. It doesn't even bother me. I'm pretty giving to people I love, but I'm very suspicious of strangers (too much investigation Discovery). My question is why are…

Oh and to expand on this I fit movie theatre popcorn with lots of butter into my calories yesterday and still woke up a pound lighter. Muahaha!! Muahahaha!!!
-
You guys crack me up I love it! I just wanted to share that for years I believed that the kind of food you eat is what makes you lose weight. That did me a lot of good because I just kept gaining! Now that I'm on mfp and have lost 16 pounds in barely over a month I feel like I've discovered some ancient secret and am…

Don't feel bad I don't have much to confess to either so I'm either a very good person, or I don't feel bad about the things I do. I'll let others decide which it is.
-
Lol! Confession: I never feel guilty saying no. And if people start getting pushy I get mean. It's shocking to people that don't know me (keep in mind I'm talking about complete strangers that ask me to do things for them).
-
@LBuehrle8 Its funny how upset and persistent people get when they don't expect you to say no.
-
Yes, yes, yes. All so true for me. What's that thing my mom passed down to me and my sister? Resting B!tchy Face. Yes.
Yep, that's what I have too
I wish I had that. I have resting tell me your life story and will do favors for strangers face. Confession: I'm not nearly as nice as people assume.

@bkhamill, @BZAH10 @WillLift4Tats Thanks guys!

I confess that I changed my profile pic. I've lost weight and I think it's pretty visible in my face. I'm only posting this so everyone will look at my face!!

I just drooled

I had no idea what I was doing before mfp. I had heard of counting calories but thought it sounded incredibly tedious and difficult. I tried all kinds of fads and gimmicks with no luck and even started to believe that I'm meant to be fat forever. Now I feel like an idiot because it's not hard, and it works! I've been at…

My daughter tells me that her dinner stomach is full, but her dessert stomach is empty.
