I put up a wall of fat to keep people out even though I just wanted the love and acceptance I never felt I had. I felt like I couldn't trust other because they would only hurt me. Then I met my husband and he loved me fat and all and tought me that I could trust people and didn't need to put up that wall. He never asked me…

Gotta donate baggy clothes! I'm down to one pair of pants that fit right but I don't care I saying goodbye to bigger sizes. Hopefully this will keep me from rooting through the closet to find them if I put on a few ha ha. It's very freeing to give the too big stuff away.

Clarified me some butter last night. It's really yummy! I'm trying dairy free for awhile too so count me in!

Interested in joining for sure. I have been low carb and lost 30 pounds but need to get rid of the dairy and the artificial sweeteners. Buying the book today and hitting the store.

I have 2 bostons and one was of poor breeding and he has had a multitude of health problems. No corn wheat soy dairy potatoe ect has made world of difference. He's 11 and still going strong. Sorry to ramble....love my stupid mutts!

Oh and my grocery bill has actually gone down and I'm eating real food nothing out of a box.

For me personally when I eat carbs I want more and more. And not vegetable carbs but like pasta and rice and bread. I eat that stuff and I am ravenously hungry shortly afterward. I now eat plenty of veggies and the occasional fruit and can look at a big plate of pasta and not have to devour it. It just works for me. Plus…

Welcome! This woe has helped me feel amazing and the weight loss is just a side bonus. I get in a rut with lunch but my go to is an avocado and can of albacore tuna and a tbs of real mayo. The fat and protein keeps me away from the plethora of baked goods that grace the lunch room on a daily. Believe me if I can stay away…

Diet Mt. Dew....best stuff on earth ha ha. Does not hinder my weight loss one bit and makes me feel perky!
-
My diary is open but I am very boring food wise but not bored with my diet at all....weirdest thing :-)

I used to also eat "healthy" with "good" carbs and fruit and veggies. However I love to bake and make candy and all that good stuff during the holidays....oh who am I kidding Friday could be a holiday for all I cared! Anyway now eating this way I still bake for my skinny hubby but have no urge to eat any of it. Thank you…

I left my insane controlling abusive husband while unemployed. All I had was my clothes and my dogs. I moved in with a friend, went back to school, and now I have an amazing job and I own my own house. I felt like a failure for half my life because of how he treated me. The point being HALF MY LIFE!!! I allowed that to…

So true. Alfredo sauce without the pasta. Homemade with real cheese and butter. Throw in some some chicken and broccoli if you must and you don't even miss the carbs.
-
You have to try the squeaky cheese if you haven't already. It is the shiz!
-
Hey VooDoo donuts! An Oregonians worst nightmare!!!!
-
No you're absolutely right we do have free will. It just makes me sad to see families at the market with obese children and the only produce in their carts is orange juice.
-
It's truly disgusting IMO the way sugar and HFCS is pushed on us from every direction. Big tobacco...ha they ain't got nothin on the food industry. Not meaning to offend anyone here just my thoughts.

Made this concoction today. Coconut oil melted then mixed with cocoa powder and unsweetened coconut and a couple packets of stevia. Kinda weird but just a small piece hits the spot!
-
Oh my those look amazing. Kudos for your baking skills! I'm headed to the store now, gonna have to pick up the ingredients!

I work in a clinic where we treat patients with opiate addiction. The dopamine receptors in the brain react in the same manner when there is food addiction. That's why some people never have weight issues and some people do. I'm by no means suggesting that people are not responsible for their own actions but a true…

Thank you. I feel more sure of myself now than ever. For those people who say they could never give up their carbs I can safely say that I could never give up my fat! Go cheese!

Welcome to the herd! This WOE has been the best thing I have ever done. Even as I sit here watching hubby eat a huge bowl of ice cream I have no cravings whatsoever. There is a ton of very keto savvy folks here so you've come to the right place.

Count me in

I'm a sausage gal myself but I could use some low carb friends!
-
You are the BOMB!!!! You have summed up everything that I have experienced since starting this way of life. Amazing!
-
Ugh! I totally hear ya turkey is good but the sausage...I'll pass

Exactly because what works for one person may not work for another. We are all fighting the same fight here...can't we all just get along!

Just had a grandson and he is exhausting
