You are not alone in your struggles! I broke my foot 7 weeks ago - which definitely curtailed my workouts. Thankfully I am fully healed now and back up to speed in the gym. Last week was spring break, and I went bonkers! I ate everything I could. Time to get back under control. I am glad to see you are back! Cindy

Did our group just give up? How is everyone doing?

I am glad you are back this week. Stay strong. I lapse every weekend - on purpose. You have to have some fun in life!!

Trying to figure out how to send friend requests. If you get multiple ones from me (not sure if this can happen), just ignore them. I'm not stalking you - I promise!

Awesome!

I lost 3 pounds this week. I am so happy about that. I have been in a cast for a broken foot, so I have been extra careful about my calories. I was not able to do cardio due to the cast. So I was surprised by the results.

You may need to increase your time on cardio - even 10 more minutes per workout will make a difference (or increase your speed or level of difficulty). Interval cardio will also help. 1200-1400 calories seems low for a man.
-
How about your exercising? How much do you exercise daily? Do you vary your cardio - time, intensity, etc. Are you weight training?
-
That is terrific! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm gonna need them!

Forever! I use this trick - whatever I plan to eat for a meal - I stretch it out over several hours. Today my lunch is a salad and an apple. So I just ate the salad, and I will eat the apple in a few hours. I find that if I keep a little food in my stomach throughout the day, I don't get as hungry.

Bad news for me - I broke my foot - cast and all - really going to hinder my exercising!!!!! As an exercise fanatic, I can't tell you how upsetting this is to me.

I just started tracking my calories, and I have the same question for everyone. Do you have a cheat day or meal each week? And do you accurately record it or fudge? I really would like to have a cheat day every week.

That is definitely a weakness with the app. I weight train 6 days a week for 30-60 minutes varying muscle groups, then I do 60 minutes of cardio. So it is easier for me to input the info.

I am with you Barbara. Love sweets and candy/chocolate. Can you count starbursts as a fruit?? I want my old body back as well. I am not that overweight, but as I get older my weight has shifted to places I don't like!! I've got 2 boys - ages 18 and 14. I am thirty-eighteen (much nicer way of saying 48, don't you think?).…

I just put in weight training and the number of minutes I lift. Record cardio separately.
-
My advise is to get a workout partner - someone who will hold you accountable and make you exercise - someone you don't want to disappoint by backing out of exercising. Find some form of cardio you love - try different things and don't be afraid of looking stupid! You must incorporate weight training into your program.…

I was just looking at that. I just started tracking my calories and have been over my sodium quota everyday. Yikes! I have worked with a nutritionist in the past you told me to stay away from deli (processed meat), all frozen meals, canned soups because of the outrageous sodium. She did think it made a difference in weight…

I am starving!!!!

I have no fullness barometer. I can eat an entire bag of cookies, a dozen doughnuts, etc at a sitting and still not feel full!! And I have been known to do exactly that. Entire big bags of M & Ms, this list is endless.

I'm in too! Need to lose 10 pounds by May 22!! Big graduation party that day with my entire judgmental family! I am really surprised to see how many calories I actually eat in a day. Frightening!
