Ah so many nice ideas! Thank you!! Ive been doing more bulgarian split squats (working on that balance!) and I will try the thrusters tomorrow with a towel and see how i get on with that. walking lunges are brilliant too, i usually hold the dumbbells at my side, but overhead is a nice variation! Thank you so much! :)

I second that. Creative thinking!

Thanks! These are good options, too. I do all of these in my current split, but other stuff thrown in too. I'll take all of that on board - thank you!
-
Thank you so much! That's a nice array exercises - Id do most of these in some form already. Although not sure what you mean by some of them. What are 1. pin pulls? 2. anderson squats 3.rows - as in like a bent over row? I should make it clear I am a female and 24 with not a whole lotta strength yet but totally getting…

Thank you! And you're right - holding stretches is so boring! Yoga though - is different. Good idea. More yoga!

Oh this has been over the course of about a month (been in a caloric surplus for about 3 months, but not high enough to cause any weight gain really at all, so this weight gain stall is only counting the REAL surplus) - my weight has stabilised completely, not up or down, and hadnt changed anything in my diet really just…

Hey! Thanks for the help. I dont really get low back pain - only low back tightness after deadlifts. I agree that floor stretching hurts the low back so i do them standing, usually in a yoga type pose like down-dog then just some other weird variations I like! I did some yoga yesterday and plan on doing it a bit more -…

You are right in that she SHOULD have told me what the exact problem was. Im considering going back to physio about it but maybe trying my dads one. She told me that it was all because of my IT band being tight. I dont sit a lot (at all) EXCEPT when Im in lectures - but she told me it was because i walk a lot. She loosened…

Thank you everyone! So helpful as always! :) I'm not quite sure if this was sarcastic, but either way - no diagnosis. There is nothing wrong with me. Just tight hips. No issues. :)
-
Hey! No, there's no back pain. My mother suffers with Sciatica, low back pain and piriformis syndrome and so a few months ago had myself checked out by the physio to ensure that wasn't what was up with me! I dont have that! In a way, it would be handy because then id no what to DO about the bloody thing! Have you found any…

Thank you all! FYI - I am trying to gain weight, and gain muscle, in a calorie surplus but still trying to actually gain! (my calories are NOT high enough - need to up them again!) Thanks though for all the help! :)

-
Hey! Thank you so much for your lovely reply - you put a lot of thought into it. Thank you! About your list of suggestions though - I like to stay optimisitc but its important to be realistic. Considering my background, I realistically won't be able to do any of those things just yet. Fast Food is something I may not ever…

Thank you! By micros, you mean fiber/iron etc?

I don't consider it a diet, I thought it to be more of a lifestyle. Since it's simple to continue for life, and stick to - if you know what I mean? Im in a caloric excess at the moment, and according to my weight I only need 220g carbs/day (2g per pound of body weight), 110g protein per day (1g/pound body weight) and 45g…
-
Thank you! But I really am brand new - any tips on how to start? Im currently stuck in a TOO clean eating regime, the same foods ALL the time with no variety and complete obsession over every little thing. I already have been counting macros (but seriously suck with fat...I don't eat enough fat at all) but NOT flexible in…

I do this too! Again, here in Ireland we always went by weight/metric system, we dont use cups. Weighing is so much easier. And prelogging is too.
-
Okay well that's sorta what I do - but here in Ireland, a serving of rolled oats is 30g, but in the states it seems to be 45g (according to Bobs Red Mill anyway). Gets me confused as I think im eating enough but apparently - im really, REALLY not.
