I eat about sixty percent carbs a day. Used to be less(around forty to fifty percent) but lately I haven't been eating meat (just haven't found it appealing AT ALL recently) and since I lowered my protein intake my carb intake has gone up. Lots of veggie grilled cheese sandwiches, fruit smoothies, lots of veggies, Oatmeal…

With my understanding of recomposition you have to gain muscle while simultaneously burning off the little bit of fat you have left to change your body composition so lifting weights would be the most effective way. I know I've been maintaining for the past 6 months or so and excersizing regularly but more cardio based…

Thanks everybody for the advice I'm just gonna have to keep on going and maybe I'll just ditch the scale for while and just go off my measurements. :/ @cathipa Im a barita/waitress at a really busy cafe so I'm on my feet all day running around and cleaning then I go to the gym afterwords. So I set my active to moderately…

Also everytime I use a maintenance calculator it always tells me my maintenence is like 1900 to 2100 calories. And I know if I actually ate that much I'd gain for sure which also has me confused.

@ad I've started a weight lifting program that has me doing a 4 day split of arms/chest, legs, back/shoulders, booty and then a day of abs and hiit cardio. I also wear a fitbit and usually get known 10,000-11,000 steps a day. I aim for about 130 grams of protein a day and around 30 grams of fat and fill the rest with…

I'm 5'9" I started at 165, I fluctuate between 128 and 130 now. Still have a belly. I'm skinny fat though so my new goal is start strength training and gain some muscle and see if I can get rid of my belly that way. If I end up gaining weight in the process I'm ok with that, as long as my body composition improves.

Giant salads. Lots and lots of greens as a base then weigh out favorite veggies on top plus low calorie dressing if you want it. Also make sure to add protein to keep you full longer. A few of my favorites are Romaine, Pico de Gallo, salsa, shredded taco chicken, half a serving black beans, a Tbsp bolt house ranch.…

Do any ladies here experience some really easy periods and then some really serious ones? Most of the time I get the normal pms of being bloated and I get really hungry but other than that I'm pretty okay but some months, (my last period) I was severely bloated, had a CRAZY spike in my appetite and all I wanted was sugar…

I lost 20 pounds with no exercise but i wouldn't recommend it... I'm proud of myself for losing the weight but now i have a whole new problem. I'm skinny fat. I still have saddle bags and I'm way weaker then I was when i started. I used to work out six days a week and completed insanity and t25 in the past but never lost…

The only person in my life who knows I'm trying to lose weight and I openly talk about it to is my fiance. I rely on this community for support and motivation when I need it. Whenever I even mention losing weight to friends or family there super judgemental and unsupportive. This place is a great place for positive and…

Yes it was a typo lol

I do try to work out but mostly cardio type things. I'm not sure where to start with lifting weights. It's something I'd want to do just now really sure how to start or I don't really know anything about it. Lately though I haven't been very active besides my job just becuase I'm so tired I can't get myself to do any kind…

I wonder if your low on a mineral or vitamin that your body needs. If I were you, I'd make an appointment with a doctor and explain the situation and have my blood checked to see if I was lacking something. Also I've heard being dehydrated makes salt cravings worse. Maybe you could dry drinking extra water in the meantime…

Yeah I've deffinitly had those days. Totally normal. Sometimes I'll eat something that just sort of triggers me and I can't stop eating till I'm completly satisfied. It doesn't happen very often but it happens. It hasn't really effected my weightloss though but I'm assuming becuase since it's not a regular thing the…

I gain between 3 to 6 pounds the week before mine and get seriously bloated and feel terrible and my appetite increases so much that I'm literelly just constantly hungry until my period is over lol. Then the week of my period, my hunger is significantly less and my weight goes back down by the end of the week. This is…

Determination and consistency. Motivation doesn't really matter because there are gonna be bad days and days you just don't feel like counting calories or being active. That's where the determination and consistency come in. Remember that feelings are temporary and if it's really important to you you gotta think of the end…

Ooo thank you for the recipe that sounds so good! You think it would hold up well in a ice chest?

Should I try to avoid high sodium since I'm gonna be drinking alot? Or just make sure to load up on extra water.

5'8" Starting weight 160 size 10/12 med/lrg Current weight 133 size 6/8 xs/s/med I've got big hips and hold all my weight in my lower belly. Hopefully it will come off soon. Only place I have left to lose anything.

I get the cravings BAD. You could try upping your calories that week to maintenence so you have more wiggle room to include the food. That way you don't gain that week. Or you could just make sure to have it in moderation and make sure you weigh and log everything. You'll just end up eating less to make room for the foods.…

Are you weighing your food? It really makes a difference. You could be eating more then you think you are. I stalled too and was stuck for about two months and felt the same as you, then I decided to buy a food scale and start actually weighing my food. Turns out I was eating way more then I thought I was. Now that I've…

I kinda had this problem as well and it wasn't getting me anywhere. There's so much information about diets and what works best all over the Internet and TV it's really hard to know what's best. But honestly all it comes down too is cals in/cals out. You can eat whatever you like as long as your burning more calories then…

Wow! Thank you!

I eat around 1500 calories a day and I work a job where I'm really active four to five days a week. I log around 9000 steps from my job alone on days I work. Also on days I'm not working I try to go for a long walk, or do some hiit. I wanna strength train but I have really bad knees and I'm not really sure how to go about…

Thanks everybody! Glad to know I'm not the only one going through it! I think I'm gonna try upping my calories a bit this week and see if that seems to help. It's just a dumb becuase I'm really happy with where I'm at, I just need to lose a few more pounds to hopefully get rid of my belly and saddlebags. When I finally…

When you get close to being in a healthy weight range or that area where you only have like ten or fifteen pounds to lose, weight loss becomes slow becuase it's just too aggressive and Unrealistic to aim for more then half a pound to a pound a week weight loss. Becuase in doing so you'll have to consume a really low amount…

That sounds like an ED. Please reach out to a close friend or family member and consider getting Profesional help. :( I'm the same height as you and eating 700/800 calories is wayy to low. Your starving your body. Even 1200 can be to low. Your body is trying to tell you something when you haven't had a period in 4 months.…
