Hi, honestly mate, I would fully recommend a Ketogenic diet. Search it on Google for more info. It's essentially a very low carb diet where you can eat high protein and high fat. SHEDS HUGE amount of pounds doing nothing. Check out the Keto subreddit at http://www.reddit.com/r/keto

If I may add, even in some of my past calorie diaries I have eaten less then 1000 calories, it's not because I am intentionally starving myself, it's just some days I feel like laying in bed, and I don't feel hungry ^.^ but yeah, it is best to keep above 1000 calories for healthy weight loss that supports metabolism.
