  • I'm kinda late but wanted to introduce myself anyway! My name is Shannon, I am 29 years old, and I have been dealing with bulimia for the last 15 years. I sought treatment for it (and other issues) about 3 years ago. I did okay but I put on a LOT of weight, almost 100 lbs  it's been a struggle to get back down to…
  • I am 5'10, currently 180 and my goal is 165-170. I've been down around 140 in the past, and got a lot of "you're too skinny" comments, but I think I actually looked pretty good. I only picked a higher goal temporarily, so if I got down to 140 I would be ecstatic lol! I think it might have to do with being so tall? Us tall…
  • Most prisons have an outdoor track and a little bit of indoor gym equipment. But if you ever go on lockdown (it happens pretty often), your gym privileges will probably be taken away. There is a book by Charlie Bronson called "Solitary Fitness" that shows his exercise routine while he was in prison. All the exercises can…
  • I gotta have good music too! I have 2 playlists for running. One is "pop divas"-Britney, Beyonce, Fergie, Lady Gaga, Kesha, etc (oh and Pink of course!) And the other one is rap-Eminem, Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, Dr. Dre, T-Pain, Ludacris, etc. Either one gets me super pumped! I hope this helps
  • Ohhhh I've had so many awful comments from strangers! Everything from asking when I'm due (not pregnant!) to this one lady who said her "heart was aching" for me, because I was so obese, I must have been in constant pain. My go-to response is utter profanity lol. As in "what the f**k did you just say to me?!" Or "mind your…
  • I think a protein shake is fine, as long as it is water based. I know there are dairy based ones, but I'm not sure if those would be good for rehydration. Do you make your own shakes? There are some good protein powders that also have electrolytes, which are good to have after strenuous exercise. I am usually not too…
  • I experience this whenever I go running. From what I understand, it is water weight lost through sweating. A good rule is to drink 8 ounces of water for every pound you lost after a run. So if you've lost 5 pounds after your run, you should drink 40 ounces of water. This helps to rehydrate your body, to prevent muscle…
  • "Lose Yourself" by Eminem is definitely my favorite running song  kinda cheesy but it works for me! Other than that, my playlist is pretty much all pop divas-Britney, Beyoncé, Fergie, Lady Gaga and Kesha
  • Does he leave after sex? Like, right after? Just wanted to ask before I give any opinions
  • Hi there and welcome! I am gonna send you a friend request. I am 29, started out at 260 lbs, current weight is 189, goal is 170. I've found a lot of support on this site, and I hope you do too!
  • I'm in! My goal is to lose 15 lbs in those 4 months
  • I totally feel ya on this! If someone tells me "wow you're losing weight!" I just say "thank you! That's very nice of you to say" and I leave it at that. It's hard because I wanna talk about diet and exercise all the time lol, but pretty much zero people want to hear about it. If someone actually asks what I'm doing, and I…
  • I absolutely love blogilates! She has quite a few videos that focus on HIIT training, and that will definitely get your heart rate up. You can always do the daily workouts, and then add one of her HIIT or cardio videos if you feel like you need to. I've been following the calender for a couple months, and I've noticed a…
  • I love diet soda! There are a bunch of Sonic restaurants where I live, and they have soooo many diet soda options. My favorite is Sprite Zero with vanilla and blue coconut :) but as far as just the regular ones go, I vote Diet Dr Pepper as the best lol
  • Hi! I am going to send you a request as well. I have a ways to go myself, and I love seeing people post about their progress! I am on here a lot, since the people in my "real life" are probably getting tired of hearing me talk about weight loss lol!
  • I think Denise Austin has a lot of beginner friendly workouts, and you don't need too much space to do them. She can be silly and cheesy lol but her workouts get it done! She has some dvds at Walmart and there are some videos on YouTube also. Another good YouTube option is Yoga with Adriene. Idk if you're a yoga fan but…
  • I have large calves as well, even at my slimmest they were definitely the biggest part of my body. I have been doing Pilates for awhile now and that seems to help tone them but not make them bigger. Don't get me wrong, they're still big. But now my legs look longer and defined, instead of just bulky lol :) hope this helps!
  • Hi there! I got clean off of heroin a couple years ago, and I gained a lot of weight very quickly (about 100 lbs in less than a year). I've lost about 70 lbs now but it's been a difficult process. I know how hard both of these struggles can be! Please add me if you'd like :)
  • 5'10 here! I started off at 260, wearing a size 18/20. I'm down to 190, size 10/12. My goal is 160-170. I am very happy to be tall, as no one thinks I weigh as much as I actually do, lol!
  • I think this is totally normal. I started my journey in January 2015, and it's taken me till now to lose about 70 lbs. The weight came off fairly quickly at first and then slowed down. I have taken diet breaks, just like the above poster mentioned. They do wonders for me, lol! I don't go crazy and eat everything in sight,…
  • I work in the deli area of a grocery store, so I am around lots of fried chicken, potato salad etc. I try to bring a snack with me to work, usually a piece of fruit or a protein bar. That way I can munch on that instead of all the fried options. But the chicken tenders call to me sometimes, lol! Working around food is…
  • I have a Fitbit Flex and I LOVE IT!! I was using the S Health pedometer on my phone and it was nowhere near accurate. It would log about 6000 steps when my Fitbit would log about 9000! The sleep tracker is really cool, you can check how restful your sleep is. The weekly challenges are my favorite part :) I say definitely…

  • OMG that is so adorable! :)
  • I love this thread! My dog thinks it's fascinating when I do yoga, sometimes he even does the "down dog" pose with me, haha
