  • Peanut butter on whole wheat toast, an apple and a huge glass of water.
  • I recently bought a PPRX200 rack from Amazon. It works pretty well at a good price. Im not sure about the gap between the holes but I think its just a couple inches. Pros: Solid and stable Holds lots of weight (600+ pounds) Includes pull up bar Cheap (less than $300 plus free shipping) Cons: Depending on your height you…
  • I like the Dannon brand that OP mentioned because it has a lot less sugar then many others (7 grams). For the same number of calories some other brands have more then double the sugar. Plus it has 80 calories for 5.3 ounces while most others are 100 or 120 calories.
  • Dry fit shirts are the way to go. I however have found that the cheap shirts tend to have itchy stitching on the insides. Nike Pro Combat shirts are the way to go IMO. Pricey but they fit well, hold up forever and look nice.
  • If your going up stairs in a commercial building (office, shopping mall, etc) it will double register the flights because they are typically much taller than a residential flight of stairs. My office building is only two stories but I get a large number of flights a day because each trip up counts as two.
  • Shake it off. One bad day (even a really bad day) shouldnt hurt you too bad. Stay active, tighten up going forward. Good luck.
  • Tilapia is good. You can prepare it may ways. Its also a very sustainable fish. Its considered invasive in lots of areas so catching and eating it actually helps out.

  • Wings no doubt.
  • I do classes at my gym and really enjoy them. I do a HIIT type class that adds in some work with weights. I also enjoy the core focused classes because they are low impact. Taking classes is a great way to get over gym intimidation IMO. Instructors at every gym Ive gone to are usually very welcoming and willing to take the…
  • I have a fitbit and love it. The only thing it does not do which you have listed is swimming. I dont believe any of the FitBit HR models are water resistant. I find it as sleek as wearing any standard wrist watch. Its comfortable enough that I dont even know Im wearing it after about 3 months of use.
  • I use a scale by Withings that I like a lot. I believe FitBit also makes one.
  • 1. I measure out small baggies of baby carrots. 35 calories per 3 oz. 2. Greek yogurt. 100 calories for one of those small containers. Some have lots of sugar though so check the labels and find one thats low. 3. Banana or an apple. Depending on size it comes out around 100-120 calories.
  • I think the general advice on this forum is to only eat back half of the exercise calories. Most people and methods of estimating exercise burn are over estimations. By only eating back half you can make up for the over estimation factor. I have a fit bit Chatge HR also and I feel it's generally pretty good at estimating…
  • Jasmine rice and broccoli.
  • I agree that running outside is more difficult. I find the biggest change is learning to pace yourself vs having the treadmill set the pace. Try to be aware of how fast your going and purposefully speed up/slow down as needed.
  • Yes it's possible but no it's not sustainable. I had a negative net calorie day last week. I spent all day moving/packing and then worked out in the evening. I had a light lunch and dinner. I think I ended up with -160 or so net calories.
  • I have a fitbit HR and do insanity. So far it works pretty well. I have not had any real issue with it measuring my heart rate. I hike it up a bit on my arm and tighten the strap one notch. It's tight enough to keep from flopping around but not uncomfortable. I don't know how accurate the fitbit algorithm is in determining…
  • ^^^ This. Just be sure to get something with low sugar.
  • The morning of the race a light breakfast is best. Toast with peanut butter and a small glass of OJ. Just enough to keep your stomach from grumbling. Too much makes you sluggish. Eat way too much and you may end up seeing it again splattered on the side of the road.
  • I do Xbox Fitness 3-4 days a week. You can add me: GT: FusionWhite 01
  • I got one today and my first impression is that it's very comfortable to wear. Not sure how well it works yet but I've heard good things.
  • Basketball court. Love playing basketball. Full court 5 on 5 is one of my favorite cardio workouts. Of course you have to go full speed.
  • I've been doing IF for a few weeks and it has made keeping my calorie intake down much easier. I am up at about 6:30 am, skip breakfast and have lunch at 11:30. Usually have a snack around 4 pm and dinner at 6. After 7:30 pm no more food. I'm in bed early, rinse repeat. In general I've found a light lunch and heavier…
  • I would recommend against going straight to a marathon. I've been a long time runner (dozens of 5ks and 10ks) and have done several half marathons. I made the jump up to full marathons and it was extremely difficult. I'm by no means a great runner and I could not imagine going from 5k to marathon training. The training for…
