Hey everyone! I had a very long day playing in a corporate golf tournament. I am not a golfer but am proud to say I didn't embarrass myself LOL. @megemrj You go girl! Keep hitting that Strong Lifts! You are so smart to nail form before progression. I love sumo squats and do them regularly. Its the only squat I can go past…

@mom23mangos those photos are beautiful. So artistic and graceful. Thank you for sharing. I am looking hard for inspirational photos. Everything seems to be no clothes and lots of *kitten* hahahaha. I'm thinking more along the lines of combining yoga poses with dumbbells. I will have pants on!! That baby face is cracking…

Great to meet you @dcresider Seems like a lot of rotator cuff injuries around here. You'll have to share some of your favorite recipes!

Good morning ladies! I wanted to share this kick *kitten* biceps/triceps workout I did last night. It hurt so good!! A lot more reps than I usually plan but it was a good challenge to really switch it up. I tried not to drop my weight too much but it is necessary to drop if you're used to 8-12 reps. Push hard!! Have a…

I'm 5'8 and usually stay around 140. It takes a lot of work for me to get below that and even harder to maintain it if I do.

Good luck to you!

So I'm planning a photoshoot in 11 days. It just kind of happened and I'm quite excited about it (and very intimidated). I'm not in competition form...haven't ever gone that route. My upper body is good, but I carry extra on my lower body and there are no visible abs). My gf is a photographer and they are doing a one day…

@WithWhatsLeft I am going through rotator cuff rehab right now as well. Doc recommended 12 weeks of aggressive physio. I haven't started yet, but I've been working on it myself mostly through yoga and continuously stretching it during the day. In a week I went from not being able to place the back of my hand on my lower…

Great to have you join us Megemrj!! You're done so well so far, keep it up! I love all that lifting has done and is doing to your shape.

The very first time I joined a gym I worked out with the trainer just on that one day. It gave me a great orientation to the gym without feeling out of place. I was much more comfortable going around on my own after that. Always go in with a plan. That app sounds great. Also New Rules of Lifting for Women (book) is a good…

I'm working through an injured rotator cuff right now. Man, shoulder injuries are painful!! I'm off the OHP but I find that upright rows are very doable. Let me know what substitutions are working for you. Thanks Sublime, I'll look into finding someone with experience Hi amyn73! Have fun with stronglifts! You can calculate…

I use Natural Factors 100% Natural Whey Protein. No artificial sweeteners. I've only used the French Vanilla

Hi Maddy! Great to meet you! I love Strong Curves. Great information and workouts in that book. Good luck doing the C25k!! I've never been able to run either so I completely understand how thrilling that must be. Enjoy the beach mom23mangos. I'm totally envious that you have beaches nearby

Good morning ladies? What are your plans for today? Pretty relaxed day for me. Leg day and some yoga is on the plan. Then taking the family to the driving range so I can get a bit of practice in before a company golf tournament next week. Oh man I am NOT a golfer hahaha.

Have a great work out! What muscles are you hitting today?
-
That would be a neat experience

Sublime, how are you measuring your bf? I've been looking at getting calipers, but I've never used them so I don't know if they're accurate. I would like to know my bf.

If you're setting your macros as percentages of your total calories, then that can't really happen. What are your calories and p/c/f grams set at? What percentages are you aiming for. I'll gladly help you out. I'm sure its a setting error somewhere

Thanks for joining in! Sounds like running is very important to you. Were you a track athlete?
-
So great to meet you! Yes its only a number...especially when you're taking care of yourself. **High five**

Wow, you've been through a lot. What a comeback! I'll have to read more about PHAT, sounds really interesting.

Happy birthday! We have to kick *kitten* for the second half of our 40s. I've done NROL4W. Great resource, unfortunately I screwed up my knee doing it. I still recommend it though. Congratulations on the weight loss. I'd love to hear how you like Strong.

You have great momentum going! Keep it up. If you find the secret to slimmer and less-saggy thighs, please let me know lol. Welcome!

I just picked up my first Alo leggings and I love them. They keep everything in and the rise is enough to maintain the love handles yet stylish enough to not hit under the boobs lol. Defined shoulders are beautiful on gals. You have a great plan for summer.

at 5'8, I find it so difficult to get under 140lbs. Anyone else have trouble or is it easy for you to get into the 130s?
-
Lots of great suggestions. I also like Nordic hamstring curls and Genie hamstring curls for variety

I use a resistance band for myself and the ladies I train. I hang it off my squat rack, but you could also hang it off a chin up bar. I'm taller than most of my ladies, so I have them start on a riser, step one foot into the strap to lower themselves to the ground, then start the pullups.

I did WW when I was a teenager. Worst decision ever. It dropped me down to 114 lbs and I was nearly hospitalized because I kept passing out due to poor blood pressure. All that group did was celebrate the scale. They didn't teach me a thing about metabolism, muscle growth and the need to eat. Its one the reasons I'm on a…

I'm 46 and 5'8". I seem to hover around the 142 mark. Trying hard to get to 135 without losing lean mass. Its damn hard lol. I always feel better when I'm under 140
