  • If you don't think you are getting enough protein as a Vegan, then you may not be eating right. Are you getting in Quinoa, Lentils, Beans, Pea Protein, etc? You can easily get protein being Vegan. Just an fyi...
  • If you do some research you will find you don't actually need oil to saute with. Up to you though.
  • I never said a word about Chocolate, and there are plenty of minimal ingredient chocolate bars out there. Hey if you want to eat processed stuff go for it. I never said Fat wasn't necessary, just saying there are better ways than processed fat dressing. If you want that then hunt for a healthy one made with minimal…
  • Think a little more about a bottle of oil, and look at the nutrients. No vitamins and minerals and all calories come from fat. Not the same case when you are eating seeds, nuts, and other items that provide fat. Why consume something just to get FAT, when it doesn't provide anything else?
  • how about something that is natural and not processed and pressed, pretty simple. Look at the nutrition label of some of the stuff recommended and it's shocking. Do what you want, but it's not healthy IMO.
  • I love that this is General Health, Fitness, and Diet, and people are recommending Full Fat Dressings, Processed Oils and more crap. Throw a serving of Hemp Seeds in a smoothie. Eat a handful of Sunflower seeds, there are tons of ways to get health fat in.
  • I make a Vegan Recipe like this just about every week. Has Medium to High carbs, Medium Protein, and low fat, packed with vitamins and minerals. I throw everything into my instant pot, and set it at 30 minutes, comes out perfect every time. I do add the Nutritional Yeast after it has cooked though and mix it in. I vary…
  • Urine charts are about as useless as the food pyramid. Also depends on how many vitamins you are taking in and so much more.
  • Personally I am trying to lose around 0.5 - 1b / week, however, I also do heavy weight lifting 4 times per week so working on putting muscle on as well. So I'm trying to take is slow.
  • If you are Vegan why bother with Keto? Just watch your calories and you will be fine.
  • That is so far from true. ANY diet will work, it's all about how many calories you take in. Pick a diet that you can turn into a lifestyle and stay with.
  • You could try eating 1 Quest bar per day, they are keto friendly and generally have around 14g fiber. You could also look into trying out the Apple Cider Vinegar recipe drinks once a day, that may help too.
  • I'm still happy with P.H.U.L. While my bench hasn't been increasing lately(could be because I lost some weight), my squat and deadlift has increased. When I started a year ago, 135lbs on the bench felt heavy, 185lbs on the squat was heavy, 185lbs on the deadlift seemed heavy. Now I'm doing 245 - 250lbs x 5 on the bench,…
  • I still eat this every day, lately I've been doing this, since I have 2 boxes of sugar free chocolate pudding mix and I'm out of the rest. 4 OZ Almond Milk 170g Greek Yogurt 18g PB2 11g Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding 5 g unsweeteneed Cacoa Powder 10 g truvia couple dashes of salt 60g protein vanilla powder Then use a mixer…
  • I have never benched 3 plates on each side in my life. I never really did squats, until I started last december, I never really ever deadlifted at all either. I started doing all of that in 2018. Here is my profile 197 lbs, down from about 215lbs last December a hair over 6' Here are my 2019 goals. Bench 315 lbs Squat 350…
  • You have done an awesome job so far, keep up the great work. Just keep in mind, your body will adjust to your calories after awhile, slowing down your metabolism. You may want to consider upping your calories to 1400 - 1500 calories for a month and see what happens. That may help restart your metabolism again. Up to you.
  • You are welcome to send me a friend request and look on mine. However, I'm not Keto, but low carb. I have my carbs set at 113g. For Keto, I believe, you want to be 50g and lower. Here are a couple of good youtube sites. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzRYivTpUQ0r2qPPjfLoQiA?pbjreload=10…
  • Google or youtube Goblet Squats, those are great as well, and easy to do anywhere. Same with Lunges.
  • Make sure you enter all your information into MFP, including weight, height, activity, goals, etc. Make sure you weigh all of your food too. I have my goal %'s set at 40/40/20, 40% protein, 40% fat, 20% carbs. For me that puts me at 113g carbs, 100g fat, and 225g protein. I have cut bread out of my diet completely for the…
  • Eat a Quest Bar every day, that has 14g fiber usually.
  • Very easy if you like eggs. My morning breakfast is 4 whole eggs, 28g mozz low skim cheese, and then chicken sausage if I have it handy. I did have any chicken sausage today, so just used some sliced turkey and chopped that up. 4 whole eggs 28g shredded mozzarella cheese 4.4 oz sliced turkey breast Came out to 470…
  • https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you/p1 I use the jefit app for all of my workouts.
  • Give this a watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdVMuUztWec
  • How long have you been working out? How many days per week, how long? Have you entered everything into MFP and set it at gaining 0.5 or 1lb per week? 2000 is definitely too low. I'm 6' 200lbs, have it set at maintenance, and that puts me around 2300 calories per day.
  • You are going to get a big WHATEVER! Whether you are trying to gain weight, maintain weight, or cut, there are so many crappy options out there. If that is what you want to eat and recommend fine. People like you that want to go out and insult others and assume they know everything, great for you.
  • I'm just saying add some of that in, pick what you want. Be VERY careful getting it from a ton of carbs, make sure you know what's in them. It's very easy to take in TONS of sugar if you aren't careful with Carbs.
  • If you want to make your own pizza fine. But buying pizza from many chains, you have no idea sometimes what oils they are using and other crap. Now if you know a good pizza chain, and know exactly what they are using fine. I suppose Ice Cream is fine, but again, buy a good brand. And yes I know tons about nutrition. I…
  • If you are making any protein shakes, add a Tablespoon or two of peanut butter. I disagree about eating pizza and ice cream just to get calories in, there are plenty of better options. Start eating a couple of ounces of your favorite nuts every day too.
  • I would recommend buying a scale and weighing your food. Also, a very simple macro breakdown would be 1/3 fat, 1/3 protein, 1/3 carbs. However, base that on what you want. Mine personally since I lift a lot and want to make sure I get at least 200g protein per day is 20% carbs, 40% protein, 40% fat. I'm doing this though,…
