  • A few things to try.. Good skincare products. I’ve noticed an improvement after switching to Aesop. Change your pillowcase regularly, and wash hair more frequently. Drink lots of water. I’ve tried lots of elimination diets and nothing seems to affect my skin besides maybe peanut butter.
  • For vegan frozen/pre made food, head to trader joes. Their frozen black bean and corn enchiladas, frozen vegetable burritos, and fresh hummus/lentil wraps are great.
  • Here's a before/now picture. 60 pounds lost in a year. I can't believe it. I just hope I can figure this out and be healthy.
  • Okay, thank you for pointing these things out. I looked back, and I've lost 15 pounds in 3 months(13 weeks). So that is more than a pound a week. I assume that I eat about 1200 calories a day, because every once in a while I'll do a rough estimate. So what I'm gathering, is that this isn't as normal as I thought it was. I…
  • I stopped counting my calories months ago, because I pretty consistently lose about a pound every week. Or half a pound. So I dunno. Doesn't make sense to me. I'm not starving myself. And not losing crazy fast.
  • I saw my dr. They aren't concerned with me only losing 2 periods. I'm not under stress or anything and I still want to lose weight. I'll try eating a little bit more protein and fat though.
  • Update! So I still haven't mentioned my weight loss. But HE told me that HE used to be "heavy" years ago, and would eat a bunch of icecream every night. Haha! Not sure how overweight he was before, but makes me feel more comfortable for when it does come up. :)
  • Thanks everyone for the support! Yes of course I know he won't judge me negatively for it. I've decided to just wait until it comes up naturally. It's not something that I'm burning to talk about. And I'm actually not struggling to stick to my healthy eating habits. He's a super healthy eater, so he's definitely not…
  • thanks swimmer88888 for that input. everyone has vulnerabilities, and its those imperfections that make us all perfect.
  • i said no to the body pump class this morning. haha. went for a walk instead
  • im also still losing weight, and plan to continue to lose more. 15 more pounds until i reach my goal.
  • I love trader joes! I've lost 55 lbs now shopping mostly at trader joes. The key for me has been portion control. That's why I love the frozen tamales, pizzas, and many of their entrees. When you cook a full meal from scratch things aren't easily portioned out for you. With trader joes there isn't too much guess work…
  • Go to trader joes for some inspiration
  • I thought I had ibs, but after losing weight and eating less it was easier for me to see what exactly was giving me problems. Coffee, spicy food, beans and cashews!!
  • I find losing weight and eating out a lot do not go hand in hand. I think learning how to eat at restaurants is important for maintaining weight.. But if you are serious about losing weight then I would cut back and just eat at home. But you can do a test! Only eat out one meal a week for 3 weeks and see how much weight…
  • 1200 for a man is pretty low. How much do you weigh? And how much do you want to lose? From first glance it looks like you are eating a lot of fruit. Fruit is good and healthy, but it has a lot of sugar and can leave you feeling hungry. You might want to limit your fruit to only one serving a day, and add in some more…
  • A cocktail tonight?
  • There's actually a lot of studies and articles going around with new theories that a diet high in sodium is really not bad for you. Hypertension and other diseases thought to be caused by high sodium could actually be the result of not exercising. Just food for thought.
  • I completely understand wanting an appetite suppressant, but losing weight is a journey and a lifestyle change. You have to get to the root of your problems and fix them at the core. Are you an emotional eater? Are you depressed? Do you exercise? There's no quick fix. Look at studies at how much weight people pack on after…
  • Try eating eggs for breakfast. They keep me full. If I have fruit for breakfast I'll be hungry the whole day
  • Im very happy for you that a low carb diet is working for you. I think the reason so many people around here are anti-low carb diets is because weve done them before. They do work for a time, but its still a diet and its very difficult to keep up a diet for the rest of your life. When you see success stories of people who…
  • i had the same thing happen to me. on my iphone it kept lowering my calorie goal until i was at 1120 today! i went on my ipad and updated goals and it put me back to 1200. 1200 is the lowest it should give anyone.
  • Chilaquiles. cook some corn tortillas in the salsa and scramble some eggs into it.
  • I used to eat chocolate everyday, and have a sweet protein smoothie after workouts, and constantly crave sweet things after meals.... and then it just stopped. I dont remember it stopping, but it did sometime in the last few months. I keep some sort of dessert in the house, right now i have frozen trader joes macarons.…
  • hard boil 2 eggs the night before and peel them. put em in a ziplock bag, salt and pepper them. by far the easiest breakfast ever. or scramble two eggs and put it in a romero tortilla(only 77 calories), with some hot sauce.
  • ive tried those miracle noodles.. but they dont keep me full! so then i ended up being hungry an hour later and needing another meal.
  • i like boiled chicken. it kinda dries out once its cooled off, but when its still hot its really good.
  • get those thighs ripped! squat heavy and embrace your muscular thighs. It doesnt matter what size they are... firm muscular toned legs are sexy, not scrawny ones.
  • sounds like you might be eating a lot of fried foods? maybe you are underestimating how many calories that packs on.
