My TDEE at 5'7" and 164 lbs, with no exercise is 1600 [according to my Fitbit]. You're shorter and a bit older than I am, so that actually makes sense.

On the front of the package, it says weight: 255 grams. On the back it says there's four servings, each serving is 1/4 pizza, 130 calories. Meaning a whole pizza is supposed to be 520 calories. But since the package actually weighs 400 something grams, that 520 calorie pizza is usually 940 calories for the whole thing, or…

I don't work out really early, usually around 9-10 am because my son has in home therapy when he wakes up . But I like working out in the morning knowing I can sweat up a storm, get what I have to done, then take a nice cold shower afterward.
-
Nope. Example: a local grocery store sells pre-made take and bake pizzas. They SAY the package weighs 255 grams but it's usually about 400 something. So that 500 cal pizza turns into 900+ cals because the weight is sooooo off. I've stopped buying their pizza [Stew Leonard's if anyone is interested] for this reason. I can…

I usually pre log, but sometimes I change my mind during the day. I did pre-log for tomorrow, because I really want to go to Sonic but also want to make sure it'll fit in my budget.

Well, you can't gain weight unless you're eating more, how are you measuring your food?
-
I did my workout at 8 pm. It really doesn't matter when you do it, or when you eat. Although it may affect your weigh in depending, so what I do is weigh in once a week after a rest day.
-
Regular cheese, NY style pizza is like, 280 cals a slice. So if you add pepporoni, more cheese, etc, it can becomes pretty high calorie.
-
What? insulin is a response to food. If you don't eat, you can't spike insulin. That makes no sense. Insulin does not make us fat either, too many calories does. Also no, muscle and fat weigh the same. Muscle just takes up less space.
-
I don't really give up foods either but there's one thing I particularly love, and that is eating a whole box of Kraft mac and cheese. I do weigh the container before cooking and I will log the whole thing. Thankfully I usually end up with 500-600 cals from walking, so I can afford the calories to do so. Oh and I doooo…

Hm, I would say it's not actually being overweight that causes it, but that salt, sugar and fat are addicting so we as a nation [we as in Americans] tend to eat too much of it. But either way, those with hpb should watch their salt intake and Americans should follow the AHA sodium guidelines. For me, my bp is not weight…
-
This is true. I think everyone should aim for the AHA guidelines for this reason. But going over sodium once in a while is normally ok.
-
Water or cherry coke zero.
-
As long as you dont have bp problems and drink water, you'll be good. I have to be on bp meds forever so I do watch my sodium.
-
While I agree with you, I think low carb is appropriate for type 2 diabetics or IR folk because to them, carbs really are the enemy and their body just doesn't respond the same way as someone without diabetes.
-
I personally disagree of the use of beta blockers in the absence of high heart rates. Makes no sense because as you said, it'll just slow the hr down in a normal person.
-
Hey, I take 1200 mg Sectral [acebutelol, 400 + 200 tabs twice a day] for heart problems. I don't think it's had any effect on my weight. It DOES make you more tired and I've found all beta blockers have this issue. I've been on Toprol, Metaprolol, all of them. If it's a once a day dose, take it at night before bed. I take…

I don't county any activites, all my steps are purposeful, so pretty much everything I do is for exercise purpose which is why I said I add bmr to exercise. Otherwise I'd have a pretty pathetic step count, lol.
-
Ok, I guess I was just a bit confused. I go by what my phone says at the end of the night and subtract food to get my deficit.
-
I have a Fitbit linked so all I do is go by the TDEE on it at the end of the night on my Fitbit app on the phone, so I don't see how I was still wrong. I only use MFP to log food.
-
Just use a BMR calculator, then track exercise in MFP. Add exericse + BMR to get TDEE. or you can get a fitbit. Also, you can't build muscle in a deficit. To gain muscle, you need to eat at a caloie surplus.
-
IDK but do you want to switch? I want no boobs.
-
Did you eventually start losing again? I also agree that eating out is the problem. There is no way to reliably calculate how much food you're getting, plus Panda Express and Chipotle are calorie bombs. How about eating out once a week or less and cooking at home so you can weigh and measure food properly? I can tell you…

Actually, the newer models have an auto track feature. it can distinguish walking, running, biking, etc. I will admit it is no good for strength training but that seems like common sense.
-
I think they are warrantied for a certain amount of time. I've had two fitbit issues, mine were replaced because it was within a 3-4 month period since I bought them, but then I decided to switch from a Charge to an Alta and have had zero issues since. At two years, I can see why they wouldn't replace your FB completely…

I'm both. Red faced AND heavy sweater, blech. I went for a simple one mile walk outside at a park with my friend. At the end, he was like "whoa, your face is SO red!" I'm pale so it really shows. Bleh.
-
Just think about this...let's say you did get loose skin around the apron. Would you rather be fat with no apron, or fit with one? I bet you'd choose the latter. Also, a decent human being won't care if you have some loose skin.
-
Actually, it is ok if you're under 5 feet. I am not, but users here have said that they need to eat around 1k calories to lose weight at that height. Not everyone's TDEE is the same.
-
My Charge fell apart within 3-4 months. The glue and stuff separated where the screen was, but apparently that's a known flaw in that model.

Fupa is the fat between the stomach and pubic area. It stands for fat upper *vuglarwordIcantsay* area.
