Yeah I agree. I stay away from the hr monitors because without a chest band, it's not really that accurate. I love my Alta.
-
Hahah same here. I have a medical condition that causes me to make 3x the amount of adrenaline than a normal person, which means I sweat excessively, especially during workouts. I'd be thin as a rail if increased sweating meant more calorie burning.
-
This is the only way, tbh.
-
According to science, 30 lbs lost = 1 inch gain. Not actual size gain but I guess havig a fat pad around the area hides some of the size.
-
I just died of laughter!
-
I think they mean the fat around the pubic area which make or may not be hiding some of their you know what.

Yes, Fitbit CS do ask for reciepts should you ever have an issue. I have had to show proof I bought mine new, off Amazon when I had an issue with a previous model.
-
LMAO! I admit those days are very rare. Mostly I walk 5-7 miles a day.
-
I've done 800 cals and 1,000 cals before, but that is very rare. Ususally happens when I walk 8-10 miles and I eat more to make up for it.
-
What I do is count it all at the end of the day as my tdee. It doesn't really matter how much I exercise, I do cardio mostly [heart problems and lifting don't go together...] so I just let my Alta track all my steps and subtract my TDEE - calories in and that's it.

I have heart problems. If you have heart problems, is ADD medication a good idea? Maybe you need to speak to a cardiologist and get on some beta blockers to help control your heart rate. I've suffered from arrythmias for years and I have an implantable loop recorder, been through a cardiac ablation and need to take beta…

I haaaaaate eating out. And food allergies just make it worse. Thankfully, I only eat out once a month or so.
-
I can't see your food diary, but are you sure you're weighing and measuring EVERYTHING on a food scale? like condiments, spices, liquids, butter, etc?
-
According to Fage, they use both milk and cream in their product. I wonder if that's part of it, maybe you're getting less concentrate than they are. After all, they have professional equipment.

Yup. My toddler, as an infant was very difficult. He'd refuse to sleep on his back and hated his crib, so I had to place him in his swing seat to get him to sleep, and he slept next to me at night. At 4 months, I sleep trained him and he's been sleeping through the night ever since and has no issues going to bed in his…

Haha it's ok. I had to look it up because I like black pepper, and I add it to everything and I was wondering if I was missing something.
-
Black pepper has 1 milligram of sodium for a tablespoon. And a tablespoon of ground black pepper is a lot. That's hardly anything. It might be worth baking your own bread. I never add salt and it comes out fine, especially if you freeze the bread after cutting it.

I never wear sports bras and I'm a D. I guess it's because I don't really care if they bounce or not since I workout indoors. They do cause me back pain regardless but that's something that won't really go away until I lose a bit of weight. Maybe it would be worth it to get a compression bra just so they're at least…
-
When my toddler was little, I did Leslie Sansone's walks on youtube. I still do them but I don't have to worry about noise, he sleeps through anything.
-
I don't run outdoors, but I see women run in just a sports bra, and guys shirtless. I don't care what they look like, if they want to do it then why not? And if women or men have bellies, so what? It's not offensive.

In addition to water, the amount of food and waste also counts on the scale. That's why weighing once a day is best. Personally, I weigh once a week.
-
I don't go to the gym because 1. I'm afraid of being judged and 2. I hate sweating in public. So bravo to all of you guys and gals who go the gym and dgaf what anyone else thinks
-
I dont add salt to food, ever. And I log my foods and keep my sodium to 1,200 mg a day. I also take a blood pressure pill.
-
Ok. So then that's a 4 mph pace. This should help: http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/calories_burned.asp?exercise=27
-
Yes, using a mini tramp to do cardio is considered exercise. What else would it be about? lol
-
Feel free to add me. I like supporting people
-
Depends on the pace plus height and weight. How long is the video? I do Leslie Sanson's indoor walking workouts and a 15 minute workout is equal to a mile in her videos. So a 15 minute mile is 4 mph.
-
You know, that's really bad. I mean, what if you were a type 1 diabetic and asked for diet soda and got regular? your blood sugar would spike :/
-
Most of the time I don't get sore, but I will if I do new moves [side steps or kickbacks during cardio]. I guess it depends on how long you've been doing it and how your muscles have adapted.
-
I exercise more. Keep this in mind though: your weekly average is what helps you lose weight. If you blow one day, oh well. Just move on.
