Science shows time and time again for years that immediately after your workouts, a protein isolate is best to be taken. It is the most beneficial. Brytany can take the info and decide what works best for herself.

If you are doing weight training, a whey protein isolate is a great way to feed your muscles immediately after a workout. Sometimes I even make it as a meal by using almond milk, frozen bananas, peanut butter and a scoop of chocolate protein powder. When you work out 5-6 times a week, you need to supplement your protein…

I keto. What advice are you looking for?

Sorry I keto but I eat meat

My go to is a bed of organic cauliflower rice and on top I put 80/20 organic ground beef patty seasoned, 3 strips of bacon, 1/2avocado and an over easy egg. Bomb and easy to make.

What people forget about in regards to keto is that unlike other “diets” there is science that backs the physiological changes that come with it. When you are truly in a ketogenic state, fat is used as fuel, including the fat that you store in reserves. It’s tough to get to this point as I feel it takes about 3 weeks of…

Are you logging into your diary and is your diary open to view? I find being honest with what you eat and logging it keeps one on a better path to success

I absolutely love it. I too find myself not nearly as hungry as I normally am. I have my Bulletproof coffee in the morning and it starts my day off right. That coffee alone carries me through my morning from 0530 until lunch at 1145. It seems a lot easier to be on a deficit when your on keto vs not. Give it a try and…

Well I’m no expert, but I love the way it makes me feel and I feel it curbs my appetite a lot. I like to start my morning with Bulletproof coffee and it carries me through until lunch. You’ll notice higher fat meals will sit longer in your stomach and you won’t feel as hungry as opposed to eating junky carbs. It’s nice to…

That’s awesome! You are an inspiration for many to follow and look up to. Nice work

I was saying to follow your BF instead of a scale. You get a better picture as to your progress. I’m over it

Reread my original post and you will find your answer

Hey turtle person, settle down. My initial response was to help her out. If you don’t like it, why don’t you just ignore it. Thanks for acting like the forum Mom.

Simple. Don’t be in a deficit. Eat the right amount of healthy foods and stay in a range that supports the high energy and calorie demand that is Crossfit. The fat will drop and the muscle will grow. Trying to be in a deficit and demand your body to push in high intensity training is a tough thing to do.

Sorry if someone has already said this, but I’m not reading every response. I also am a crossfitter. A vast majority of CF workouts build your glutes, quads and shoulders. These are big muscles. Muscle is way denser and heavier then fat. As you continue to build muscle and increase weight in your lifts, your muscles will…

I would increase your calorie intake to a more reasonable number and add healthy options to your salads. Boiled egg whites, grilled chicken breast, grilled fish or sashimi. Protein will sit longer in your digestive system and help you feel fuller longer. Also, people are so afraid of carbs but they forget that carbohydrates…

No that’s not normal. If you are eating 1200 cals a day minus 500 cals from excercise, that leaves you with a storing intake of 700 calories. That is extremely detrimental to your overall health. The weight you are losing is not true fat loss and will actually result in you getting sick and setting yourself back. Increase…

It’s sounds to me like losing tummy fat is the least of your worries. With what is going on with your heart and the suggestion of your Dr, you need to cut back on high cholesterol foods and put exercise as a priority in life. By doing this, fat will naturally come down on your waist as well as other areas. Not sure how…

I never was a huge honey fan but now I absolutely love it. For a healthy snack I eat 3/4c non fat cottage cheese with about 20 almonds and drizzle the top with honey. It’s my go to. I also crush peanut butter on a daily basis.

If you are miserable, then you are setting yourself up for failure. It’s better to increase you calories by a bit and have a healthier outlook then to starve yourself just to lose the pounds quicker.

I find being honest with the food diary and having it be visible to your friends is very helpful and keeps me straight. That and working out before my shift

Just my own 2 cents here. Keto is awesome. I love it and feel it truly works and helps change the monotonous diet routine. But, and that’s a big but, to have your body truly go into ketogenic mode, it might take you three weeks. It might take some more or less. True fat loss does not occur until your body is kicked into…

Starting is the hardest part. Just stay consistent and truly be honest with counting your macros or calories. It’s a marathon not a sprint. You’ll be there soon enough with hard work and dedication.
