I am counting calories and exercising right now. I guess my question is should I be eating at a large deficit while trying to build strength?

Eat healthy fats, try to cook your veggies at least a little to get your body used to them, but load up... and keep SUPER hydrated. As far as revving up metabolism, they say peppers and spices do it for you... I don't know whether it's true or not, but I find them delicious so I eat them anyway!

I have really been struggling to stay on track. My nephew's birthday was last Saturday. We had pizza, cake, ice cream... Sunday a friend I hadn't seen in AGES showed up at my door step and we had a few drinks. Monday was a work food day for an upcoming birthday. There was cake and icecream at work again today, another food…

This is something that frustrates me. Our local clinic has a "weight management program" that promotes this. Even for people who aren't over weight to begin with. I don't see how this is healthy, or how results are expected to last. That is simply my opinion, though.

If it wasn't specified that it was zumba fitness, i'd say it was regular zumba. They are two different things. Our local instructor is certified to train both. I could be wrong as far as logging, though!

1 month on mfp and 6 lbs lost. Before that, I lost about 20 lbs Jan-March just changing my eating habits. Still have 34 lbs to goal. It's gonna take fooooreeeeveeeerrr, but it'll be worth it.

The struggle IS real. I am doing alright, though. I wasn't hungry yet at lunch, so I went home, let the dogs out, prepared a big leafy greens salad, and brought it back to work. Now i'm super full and only have 2.5 hours left in my day. Thanks everyone for the support.

It's nice talking to other people going through the struggle! I only had one plate this morning... Now people keep asking if i'm going to go up and get more. When I say no, they have the most puzzled look on their face! I am glad my lunch hour is almost here! I will eat a plain salad and walk my dogs... Then maybe there…

The problem is that I didn't do so hot over the weekend, either! Family get together, nephew's bday party that involved pizza... MAN! Hopefully things will slow back down after today.

I went from 195 to just under 170 and my dad is already telling me he's concerned and i'm losing too much!! I am still OVER WEIGHT! Gah! It really messes with my mind.
