Since I've been back, I've been off more than I've been on. I guess if you guys can submit to it so can I. Good luck everybody!

I agree with californiagirl2012. How about setting yourself up with a cheat day once a week? By that I mean you follow a reasonable deficit 6 days and one day you eat what you want, but no more than your maintenance limit. I lost 61 pounds that way and am here doing it again because I went off the wagon. Good luck!

Back when I was working, I bought an extra scale to keep in my desk.

Some seriously good stuff you did there. Congrats!

The awful combination of eating too much and moving too little.

Cycling is good. Anything is better than couch camping.

@classlayla & @RoadBike777, this is the place to do it. it's a good thing you are doing for yourselves. Good job!

5'7.75". I always wanted to be Jimmy Dean's "Big Bad John" who stood 6'6", weighed 245, kinda broad at the shoulder and narrow at the hip....

ToDo List Task Manager - Without it I'd never remember anything. Google Maps - Without it I'd never be able to find anyplace.

God... I'd never get out of the bathroom for sure if I did that!

It's only over if you want it to be. Just get back on the wagon tomorrow.

Yep.

Cheers to you!

Great job!! Keep up the good work!

Oh boy, you're gonna get a lot of people telling you how horrible it is to do it, but the fact remains that I lost 61 pounds (Previous journey) doing a weekly cheat day. I gained some of it back because I went off the wagon. Every day became a cheat day.Just stay below your maintenance calorie limit for that day. And yes I…

Okay. This is information I need also. I disabled negative adjustments because it take away calories in the evening AFTER I've already eaten. This causes me to go negative sometimes. How does a person account for that?

For curiosity sake only (Because that's the kind of person I am). Could a person calculate how long it takes to regenerate those cells and average it?

I tried that and it left me too hungry at night. I try to make lunch my lightest meal, just enough to tide me over till dinner. But then, that's just what works for me.

My childhood best friend and I were about the same height all the way through school. After he graduated high school, he went into the army.About a year later, he came home on leave and was 6 feet tall while I stayed at 5'8". Maybe you should join the army. ;)

Franz 24 is my hands down favorite. 2nd choice is Dave's Killer 21 grain bread. Both of these make GREAT French toast too! Wal-Mart, QFC (Kroger) and Safeway to name a few here on the left coast.

Okay, I tried it. Much better with fruit in it. I used 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk and 1/2 cup of crushed pineapple. It took me over my limits, but, hey, it's an experiment.

I was given a jug of vanilla Optimum Nutrition whey isolate. I thought I'd at least give it a try for the same reason as OP. It's not bad and it does seem to work as a night snack. I'm gonna try mixing some fruit in it as others have suggested.

My hobby is cooking because it goes well with my other hobby...eating. Also, volunteering... some of the most fun I've had since I retired. Oh yeah, I read a lot too.

Glad I'm retired!

I noticed a change around 25 lbs, but others noticed a change when I hit the 15 lb. mark.

I try hard to stay within the numbers MFP doles out for me. I'm going for one and a half pounds per week. On Fridays, if I've lost weight, I allow myself a cheat day. What that means to me, is that I allow myself to go up to what my maintenance macros would be. Only been back a few weeks, but it's working like it did…

The day I realized that, while I was sitting in the dining room chair, my feet were actually resting on the floor. Big day for me.

Well done!
