Those are impressive numbers. Congrats

Weight is just a number. Now inches on the other hand don't lie

There are scales that can measure your body fat. You can also pick up some skin fold calipers pretty cheap. Most gyms have a trainer that could test your bf.

I haven't hit a meet since last year but then my numbers were DL 525 SQ 455 Bench 345 There are some impressive numbers on this thread

Have you checked your body fat %? You could very well be losing fat and gaining muscle. Weight is just a number but inches tell the truth

We all need to start somewhere. Setting mini goals is the only way to achieve the big goals

Hey Frank. Where at in the white mountains? I used to live in Berlin many moons ago (before the mill shut down).

I need metal daily. I usually take mine in the form of Slayer and barbells.
-
I log daily. I may even have an addiction to this app. I also read everyone's food diary and by the looks of it I don't eat enough veggies. Feel free to add me

I have some prowler pushes to do today

5/3/1 from Jim Wendler

Since I'm in FL and you're in b-more, do you mind heading out to Glen Burnie and grabbing me a double dog with the works from Ann's and then swinging by Chaps Pit Beef and grabbing me a Raven sandwich with extra horseradish?
-
I use Slayer for prowler pushes, Beastie Boys for jogging and cancer bats or the welch boys for lifting

That's the belt u was leaning towards but I'll probably just like mine a lot and not adore it...It's a guy thing.

I was looking at either the inzer or Elitefts. I currently have a 10mm two prong (and by currently I mean I forgot it in NH when I moved to FL) and I do like it but I can only get it on or off if I'm close to a power rack. Or have someone there to help me. Which is fine when I'm at a meet but not as practical when I'm…

Jim Wendler's 100 rep challenge. It's a hybrid of 5/3/1

I don't really wanna lose weight per se. I train to just push my body's limits. Some days I train harder just to have a couple extra slices of pizza. Discovering powerlifting was a life changing event for me.

I go through a variety of websites to see what they claim are calories burned for a certain exercise per hour and then create and average. Then I create an exercise in the app with that number. It's not an exact science but it gives me something to go by.

Seriously the only place women should be running is to the kitchen to make sammiches.
-
I guess the decision is unanimous. 5/3/1 it is. I appreciate all the input
-
That is an awful lot of squatting. I still might give this a try when I'm done my current program. If anything just to prove the grass isn't always greener.
-
Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 program is pretty much foolproof and easy to follow
-
That is the best first concert ever. I've seen them many times and its never been the same show twice. However my first concert was Ozzy with Anthrax

You've come to the right place if you're looking for motivation

Weekends are my nemesis. I find it really hard to keep my water intake up which leaves me feeling blah and I also have a soft spot for giant greasy burgers.
-
You don't need luck. Just deadlift heavy and squat deep.
-
I began using this app strictly to count calories. It wasn't until a couple weeks ago that I stumbled onto the whole community portion of it. I now find my drive from amazing people like the two of you. We all have different stories and backgrounds but to witness people pushing through their daily struggles and still…

Did you manually add in the weight you lost?
-
Try a moderate walk tonight along with some stretching and a foam roller if you have one. And def consume a lot of water. As you get stronger there will come a time when you will actually miss this pain.

What exactly is carb back loading? I've heard about it but never really talked to anyone who tried it.
