I do. My preference is beer. I allow myself two beers per weekend night. If I choose more (like I am tonight), I cut back on dinner. Tonight, I get air-popped popcorn. My birthday was last month, and I really went overboard. Still tracked, showed a calorie overage, and got back on track the next day. Cheers!

Mashed strawberries (no sugar added) are good. Mash 'em the night before, so they'll be good to go.

Your choices are your choices, nobody else's. Don't allow yourself to sabotage your journey. Call somebody before you make your choices, to talk you out of them. Pretend your mom's telling you "DON'T DO THAT!!!" Don't let the "devil make you do it." If you exceed your limits one day, get over it, start over tomorrow.

Oh, yeah! Since returning to MFP, I've tried to fit in that 1/2 gallon of water every day (usually evenings). I'm often running to the bathroom in the evening, but also noticing more trips during the day at work.

That's perfect advice! Remember when we were kids, doing something we shouldn't be doing? When mom said in that stern, loud voice, "Stop doing that!" we did! And, it's more than likely we didn't do it again, especially if gave us a little slap on our bottoms or hands. We all need to instill a "mom" into our systems to tell…

Our local grocery store frequently has boneless, skinless chicken breasts on sale (often organic, locally grown) so we stock up on them. They're in "family packs" so we split them into packages of four (about 1.5 pounds), vacuum seal and freeze them.

Mine's my icon. After 20 pounds, I'll post another one.

Don't cut anything out. Cut back to stay within your daily calorie allowance. You may need to not eat something every day, but allow yourself to eat. However, if there are foods (especially junk foods) you just can't stop eating, perhaps it would be wise to cut them out.

Don't eat anything with seeds (strawberries, raspberries and the like)

Things that have helped me:* Track everything you eat. * Drink lots of no (or low) calorie liquids ~ my personal goal is 64 ounces of water. * Plan meals for the upcoming week (or few days) * Let yourself cheat now and again, but be prepared to make up for it. * Enjoy, IN MODERATION, your favorite treat (chocolate, wine,…

I think society as a whole is becoming less friendly. People now have buds in their ears and their noses in social media ~ real conversation is becoming a thing of the past.

I guess I can't call myself a success (yet), but I'm heading in the right direction. I quit smoking December 5. With the holidays coming on, I gave myself permission to not worry about weight loss, have my last hurrah with the beer, and concentrate on not smoking. My quit method was the patch. I used my last patch one week…

Exactly.

Take a fitness class. You'd be in good company with a number of people who attended alone. Remembering that many of the folks going to the gym may have been in the same spot you are. You've paid for thee membership, no sense wasting it by staying home.

I use it instead of sour cream on baked potatoes. For breakfast, I mix 1/2 cup yogurt (or one small container), 1/4 blueberries and 1/4 cup Grape Nuts.

Cutting down, not out. Two beers per weekend night (except special occasions)

I'm going through the same thing. My last smoke day was December 5, in order to give my lungs some time to recover before I started exercising. I was on the patches until Wednesday. I began (or should I say returned to) MFP on January 3, the first work day after the New Years holiday. In the past, when I quit, I did gain…
