Beers can be a good option (light beers can be around 100 calories) but they can add up. If I want to have a buzz then I'll go with something stronger like vodka and diet coke or diet Sierra mist. Just keep in mind that bartenders "eyeball" shots so you may be drinking more calories than you think.

5'5", 158 lbs. 1400 calories to lose between .5 and 1 lbs a week. I've done this for a month and have lost about 1.5 lbs per week with this calorie amount. Currently I do not exercise.

I weigh myself everyday right when I wake up, and I log every time on MFP. I like to see the trends and it keeps me motivated. Not for everyone though.

Started on March 23, about 3.5 weeks ago and lost 6.5 lbs so far. Even though my goal is to lose 25 more pounds, I definitely see this as a lifestyle change for long term.

I'd say a 7. I am logging everything I eat and haven't gone over my calorie count in awhile. I turn down foods that I want but that I know aren't a good option for me. When I have cravings, I don't give in (all the way). Instead I find a healthy alternative or eat less of it. My biggest problem is exercise. I don't do it.…

If I feel like "cheating" then I'll eat at maintenance, which I don't really consider cheating. If I want something I will either work out for it or eat less of something else so I still stay in my calories. I'm too focused right now to go back to my old ways. And yes, I will log everything no matter the calorie count.

Probably about 200 if that's turkey and a little cheese in there. No dressing? I could never!

I log my breakfasts and lunches in the morning because they are usually the same every day or every other day. For dinner, I log as I prep the meal and just eat what's left in my calorie count. We eat a lot of chicken and salad so I know it'll fall in my calorie count, but depending on the day i might have some left for a…

I'm in. My goal is 5 lbs!

Feel free to add me. I could use some accountability and motivation.

I loved reading this and plan on reading again and again to stay motivated. Thanks for this!

Feel free to add me :) I've been a member of MFP for years but never kept at it. This is the first time I've been social on here and I'm hoping to stay motivated to reach my weight loss goals. Good luck!

Count me in!

I'm fairly new to this as well and was having the same issue as you. Finally yesterday I went out and just bought a scale and so far I love having it! It takes all of the guesswork out of this. I went to wal mart and bought a scale for $14.98 plus tax and the brand was Mainstays. It takes up very little room on my counter…

I'm a 5'5" girl. My highest was 173. My lowest was 128. Currently I'm at 165. I've always hovered around 145 and I'd be very happy being there again. I felt great at 128, healthiest and strongest I've ever been but I did feel thin. I couldn't imagine going much lower. Just trying to take it 10 pounds at a time for now.

I'm glad I came upon this thread. Im horrible at taking my meds (l-thyroxine). I usually take my meds and eat right away or forget completely. I'm gonna start taking them early in the morning and waiting at least an hour and see if I notice any difference. I've been really struggling to lose weight even though I've been…

Oh and i am 27 years old

I hear ya! At my highest I was 173. My lowest was 128. I usually weigh about 145 but over the last couple of years I've been around 160. Currently I am 165 and I would love to get down to 145 again. It seems impossible but I'm not giving up! Feel free to add me. It's nice to see some people who have similar goals.

27 and using it daily now. I went Mia for awhile but now I'm getting serious about my goals. Feel free to add me!

I really like Lipton's white tea. I choose the blueberry pomegranate flavor and love it!

That's where I'm at too. Ideally I would love to be 135. That seems very hard to get to so I'm just focusing on getting to 155. Then focusing on 5 pounds after that until I get to my final goal, if that makes sense. I'm 164 as of today.

Hi! I'm 5"5' 165 lbs. Ideally I would like to be at130 pounds but with struggling to lose any weight, I'd be happy to be in the 140's. Over the last couple of years I've put on about 30 pounds and I'm definitely at my worst I've ever been, weight wise. Getting back in shape is hard! I'm starting to exercise 30 minutes a…
