Have you all ever tried subscription tea boxes like http://steepster.com/select? It's $25 for 5 (40g) teas. Kinda expensive really.0

Several of them. I got one just today to review from www.curioustea.com. There are a bunch of them out there, some better for people who want more variety and some have specific types.
Here is a pretty long thread that talks about some of them:

Love Celestial Seasoning Teas. Drinking Cinnamon Apple Spice right now
I like Black tea to be plain. I drink Twinnings English Breakfast. Celestial has a lot of herbal/fruit teas, and I recommend the Sleepytime Vanilla and Rooibos Madagascar Vanilla. Neither seem to need any sweeteners or anything added!0 -
I haven't had loose leaf tea in a long time. I got into tea through Teavana but don't shop there any more due to how overpriced it is. I ordered a Rooibos, an Oolong, and a Green sampler from Upton Tea and that should arrive on Saturday or early next week. While I wait for those to arrive, I'll continue to drink from my bagged tea collection.
I just had a pot of Bigelow Green Tea with Pomegranate. It was good, but the fruit flavors were so strong that I couldn't actually taste the tea.0 -
I like Darjeeling, which is a black tea with a rich taste. Recently discovered an Earl Gray Green tea. Its all good.0

If you like to add honey - Tazo's passion tea, either loose leaf or bagged - is delicious with honey. It's my go to tea when I'm sick.
I've also had some good luck with Fresh and Easy teas. Not sure if that store is by you - but they have some fun flavors of bagged teas like ginger peach and each bag is wrapped in plastic so it seems to keep it 'fresher'.
Do they have a website?
Yes. http://www.freshandeasy.com/
I go out of my way to buy my maple syrup from them. It's 100% maple syrup, no sodium and absolutely delicious.0 -
Is it weird I'm not a fan of fruit teas? lol0

I see you like loose tea, which I do as well. My favorite place to buy is Indigo Tea, which has very good prices, and high quality loose teas.
One tea I don't see mentioned in this thread is Japanese Sencha. Sencha has very unique, grassy aroma and taste that I love. You can also steep the leaves several times. I usually go at least 3 times. Two of my favorites:

I like to steep mine twice just so i get the moneys worth0

For hot tea, I like to work my way through the Bigelow "Assorted Teas" box: Lemon Lift, Green Tea, Constant Comment, Earl Grey, Plantation Mint and English Breakfast. I usually have both a caffeinated and an uncaffeinated box working in the cupboard. For iced tea you can't beat Luzianne -- 4 family-sized bags in a gallon of cold water in the fridge overnight = great iced tea.0

My brother does something similar but his beige teeth prove his variation on the theme. He adds an additional teabag when he puts in more water without taking out the previous bag. By the end of the day he is drinking tea that looks more like espresso with several bags still in the cup.

My Upton tea order finally came today, so I'm done with bagged tea for a while. I really love the gunpowder green tea that came in the sampler. I steeped it four times and it seemed to get better with each cup.
Also, 125 grams is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I don't know how I'll finish all the rooibos and oolong I got.0 -
Last time I counted I had 25 different types on tea in my cupboard
Aside from the usual breakfast tea, my favourites are Rooibos/Redbush, Nettle, Chai and Peppermint.0 -

I feel like I have just met my people! I drink a lot of tea (4-5 cups daily) and I am a huge fan of Kusmi's green with jasmine and Twining's Lady Grey. I have a tea cupboard that is overflowing with good stuff!0

I don't feel like so much the tea hoarder now! I have found my people! :P
I have a collection of teas that I just buy randomly from stores, but my favorites are the local looseleafs that I get from Dryad Tea and a 'local' tea shop in Fort Collins, Happy Lucky's. I can honestly say that I really LOVE HL so much. And they benefit great causes.

My favorite things from HL are the Madame Grey, Almond Black, and Cinnamon Spice. You can also blend your own teas, and I get food-grade lavender from them for my baking. And both of them are really affordable and ship anywhere.
For storebought, I adore Cost Plus World Market. They have so many wonderful teas, and I can get Thai tea to make here at home. I just wish condensed milk wasn't so calorific. They came out with some special stuff for Dotown (sp) Abbey around Christmas, and I got an amazing ceramic teapot from them, along with their Vanilla Earl Grey, which is really good. I just don't like the price of Republic of Tea, when it's the bottom of the barrel shakings of tea. That's when I found the almond tea at Happy Lucky's and that's my goto now.
Now I need to go make a pot to go in the refrigerator. I almost always have a pitcher of herbal tea in there for summer.

Green tea all day/everyday for me! I brew it both iced and hot. I don't love the taste of water, so I brew green tea and put pure 100% stevia in it (not the fake stuff). I like the Kirkland green tea from Costco. It's cheap and has matcha in it: http://www.amazon.com/Kirkland-Matcha-Blend-Japanese-Tea-100/dp/B000WB1YSE0

I really like Lipton's white tea. I choose the blueberry pomegranate flavor and love it!0

Do you make ice tea for summer the same way you make regular tea? just cold water instead of hot?0
-
When I make iced tea I make it the same way as I do for hot tea, except I use half the amount of water (or double the amount of tea if I'm really thirsty), then pour it over a glass full of ice after it's brewed. There is usually enough ice in the glass so the melted ice will chill and dilute the tea, with enough ice remaining to keep it cold while I enjoy it.
Iced green tea is one of my favorite summer drinks.0 -
good idea!! I need more ice tea recipes. haha I haven't tried green tea ice tea before.0
