My new Goal

I weigh 153 and have decided to switch my Goal Weight from 140 to 145.. Breaking it down in slow steps so that way I dont mentally feel like I have A LOT to lose. So once I reach that goal then I'll add an extra 5lbs to lose, and so on and so on! What do you guys think... Good way to make smaller goals?

My wife is doing the same thing.
For me, I set my goal at what I think I want my final weight to be (220, down from 260) and at a pound per month, I'll get there in December as I recall. I'm satisfied with seeing steady progress between now and then. Once there I'll reevaluate to see if I should drop more.
My wife, though, wants to meet her goals sooner so she's doing what you're doing. She broke her overall amount into three goals, though still at the 1 pound per month. From her perspective she'll feel like she's accomplished her goal more quickly. I think her first goal should be met in July.
Either way works just as well so if that's makes it seem more manageable, then by all means, do it!! and good luck on your journey!

That sounds fine. I think a lot of people lose by setting short term goals, then modifying. It sometimes hard to tell exactly what your end point should be till you get close.0

That's where I'm at too. Ideally I would love to be 135. That seems very hard to get to so I'm just focusing on getting to 155. Then focusing on 5 pounds after that until I get to my final goal, if that makes sense. I'm 164 as of today.0
