  • Learn how to be social without drinking too much. Limit yourself to a couple of drinks. Enjoy the company of those you are with. Stay in control of what you eat and what you drink. For what it's worth, it's a red flag to me if you can't enjoy a party without drinking to excess, then calories aren't the biggest issue.
  • I have a family member who had GB. She did lose weight but her relationship with food is still very disfunctional. She doesn't nourish her body and has been in the hospital after passing out. She survives (somehow) on coffee drinks, protein shakes, sweets and snacking on chips/crackers. Bottom line, you have to heal your…

  • I've always heard that the only reason you need gluten free bread (or anything else) is if you have celiac disease or a gluten allergy.
  • I love to bake too, and my 4 year old son loves to help me. My hubby and I have a "cheat night" where we go out to eat (and eat what we want within reason) and then I bake a small batch of cookies or brownies. Enough for that evening. Then, in the morning, it's back to tracking and calorie deficits. It works well--I can…
  • I do a cheat meal. I track and eat what I normally would for breakfast and lunch. For supper, I go out to eat and get what I want (within reason). Then, since I love to bake, I come home and bake a small batch of cookies for my family. Then it's right back to to careful tracking and calorie deficits the next morning. I…
