Since the beginning for me in Feb 2015 adding pals and interacting with them through the news feed has been what MFP is all about. Scrolling through my pals' updates for over 3000 days is why I am here. To me, there is no point to MFP if there is not a news feed, I can count calories very well on my own.

When I was 50# overweight, simply cutting carbs or any other change made results. I lost my first 30# on simply cutting carbs. Now just into my 'normal' BMI, unrestricted protein and fat does not work like that now. I have to focus on energy in and energy out.

I don't eat them, too much sugar for me. Avocados are my fruit whether doing low carb or not. To each his own.

I have 2 Morton's foot, had a Neuroma taken from my left foot from overuse on the job 15 years ago, gnarly varicose veins on both legs that make them feel heavy, and also multiple plantar fibromas on both feet. I have cut out diet soda because it causes hunger cravings, but I hear other folks say for them it doesn't. Sugarless gum does the same in my experience. But if you can have it and all is well, then all is well.

I measure them raw and frozen. If any error, it is on underestimating calories which is a good thing.

I am mainly calorie focused than exercise. Friends of all approaches are welcome, folks learn from each other.
